Say you meet a potential long term partner who was very attracted to you at first because you used a certain combo. You continued to use it for a while, but as things went on and got more intimate, or you got into a long term relationship with them, you stopped. Your partner knows something is different? Where goes the magic? If at all? What do you guys think?
since pheromones arent the end-all be-all of a relationship, the magic is still there.
i never wore pheromones, now i do and my ex isnt transformed one way or another.
its an enhancer, but not a deal-breaker/maker ![]()
Hmmm … I think it’s a fair question to consider … if someone is with you because they are addicted to your phero usage, they could go through withdrawal if and when you stop.
(You could become addicted yourself, right? Different question, though also one to consider.)
I guess the issue is whether you’d want someone who stopped wanting you because you stopped spraying pheros. As Lor said, it seems that in a real relationship, s/he might notice something different about you, but that it would not be a deal maker or breaker.
I can answer this one from experience. I was wearing pheromones when I met my current wife.
Pheromones help with a first impression and generating interest, but they can’t sustain a relationship. Similarly, if you’ve built a healthy foundation stopping the pheromones won’t destroy what you’ve built.
Added in edit - Maybe I’m wrong. I think when people first fall in love they are swimming in natural pheromones and hormones. It wears off after a while. Some people get hooked on the just-in-love feeling and dump their partner when it’s no longer there, looking for a new one. I guess the same could happen with artificial pheromones. There are greater depths of relationship beyond the just-in-love phase, and those who can’t get past phase one will miss out on them.
People tend to assume that the shine (no pun intended) will wear off a new relationship as time progresses, so if you’ve established deeper comfort and intimacy with each other by the time you stop using it, it should mirror the natural progression of most relationships
of course, if things really do change drastically for the worse, well…you wouldn’t want to be with someone who only liked you for your phero signature, would you?
