Does anyone have any of the threads that talked about making oil based mixes?
I’ve been searching the forums (for a few days now) but my eyes have started to glaze over, not to mention the odd facial tick that has developed. I may just give up trying to look for the scientific way and just ‘wing it.’ I am going to give making an oil based version of one of the mixes on here just to see how it works (or if it works).
I remember one in which Steve discussed it with…Mark-in-dallas I believe?
The details were sparse but i’m sure it will be helpful. I seem to remember him mentioning what it takes to convert an alcohol based phero to oil based. Maybe message Steve about it, he may remember.

I was thinking it today about funnily enough, also about what essential oil etc.. could be used as scents..
If you really want to make an oil based homebrew clone, you should start with “dry” chemset mones. Trying to dissolve dosed products–highly diluted alcohol carrier products–in oil will be a lesson in disappointment. In other words they will be too weak to do jack squat. Commercial carrier products like A314, SOE and TAA oil have much higher mone concentrations than their spray counterparts. Why? The slow diffusion makes for underwhelming results without a really stiff dose. Ever notice how expensive A314, SOE and TAA oil are? You’d probably see a lot more oil carrier products if the required higher dose didn’t result in greatly increased cost.
Now making an alcohol carrier clone of the Scent of Eros ratio would be easy. Realize the dose/concentration can be somewhat weaker in alcohol due to increased diffusion.
