OK Ladies Help Us Out. Shaven Or Unshaven

I know that it is more of a personal preference, but do you prefer a cleanly shaven face or some facial hair? It has perplexed me for years. 5 o’clock shadow, stuble, beard, mustache. Tell all. The last woman I was involved with liked the look of facial hair but hated the way it felt while kissing/intimite. Talk about confusing. I would have put this in the womens forum, but it doesn’t have much to do with pheros.

Oh, and if you want, feel free to comment on the other shave or not to shave controversy.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat there, provided the facial hair looks good on the guy in question. It really depends on the guy, but what it comes down to is that most facial hair is incredibly irritating when it’s being raked across a woman’s face.

I know that doesn’t help.

In my experience it’s all a matter of how good of a kisser you are. If you’re good enough to know how to not rake your stubble across their face, a little bit of well-groomed facial hair can be a turn on for a woman. Otherwise keep that face clean-shaven for her sake.

I’ve seen an extremely hot guy get the cold shoulder after one make-out session with one of my female friends, so i asked her what the deal was. She mentioned that A) apparently he got by on looks alone, cause his kiss had no technique, and B) he had some manly stubble for appearance, but her face felt like sandpaper had been rubbed across it afterwards.

My outlook… grow your facial hair if you want to and who cares what she thinks LOL! My wife hates facial hair and i’m in the middle of growing a mountain man one

As for the OTHER shaving debate… DEFINATELY SHAVE! At the very least… trim it really really really really good. There’s no need for a “Hair filter” to keep things out these days…

Agreed with Mr Feel Good.

I absolutely love that “rough around the edges” look, and when my SO has it, I’ll admit I find it very sexy and practically irresistible. Unfortunately, when I go to kiss him it feels like kissing a velcro pad (the pointy side!)

Then again, sometimes it encourages me to slide my lips elsewhere

Clean-shaven. Or wear stubble while out, then shave it specially for her when you get home … ah, best of all possible worlds!

Beards are helpful appearance-wise if your jaw isn’t very defined, but I wouldn’t say they’re a turn-on in themselves. I’d much rather see your face.

I like the look of facial hair on some of my friends but from having kissed a guy with a moustache… Euch! I hate how it feels. I have really sensitive skin so I hate how it gives me a rash (specially stubble, that’s really painful).

That being said, nothing better than my TG with a weekend’s worth of stubble, he looks really cute like that  And him, shirtless and shaving? Oy que calor!! fans self

Alright im just jumpin in everywhere but i wanna know about the shave or not to shave for the non facial areas… Im confoooosed right there with you jesse lol… so let me know too.. shave, trim, wats up??? And if bare is thhe response, anybody got an alternative to shaving, that hurts and leaves irritation =

For the non-facial areas, trim, don’t shave. Stubble down there is the worst of all!

If you’re a real masochist, get waxed (the regrowth is softer, not stubble) but take lots of painkillers beforehand.

ya ive been told waxing hurts like a beast and nair smells and burns like hell… i already trim but i was just curious… waxing maybe?? idk lol… it all sounds sooo unpleasant

Waxing down there the first time hurts like you would NOT believe. You’d need to wait a day or so before trying out your newly revealed parts, they’d be too tender before then.

I haven’t had good experience with Nair, sometimes the hairs just break off at the surface, not ideal. But if your hair is kind of fine it might work okay.

thats encouraging lmfao… ill prob just stick to the trimmin… ive got this =D thanks guys… especially carrie

This facial hair thing is an on-going issue at my house. In recent years it has been distilled down to this:

“Honey, you wear your facial hair any way you want to, as I will with my own hair. Sometimes I will jump your bones despite the “intimacy wall” your face grows, other times I will evade your advances with a shriek and flee to the kitchen where washing dishes holds more appeal than trying to make love to my husband the porcupine face.”

My husband has commented that he “gets less sex” when he doesn’t shave… what he doesn’t realize is I wear way less pheromones when he’s furry! (He doesn’t know which of my scents are “loaded” and which aren’t.)

Near as I can figure out, our current cycle looks like this: when he doesn’t shave (and its laziness, not style that compels him) I find myself less attracted to him (guess I like clean shaven faces… though he looks HOT all scruffy) and when less attracted I feel less orgasmic myself. That inevitably leads to less pheromone wearing, (and less hair-fixing and make-up wearing) climaxing in giving pheromones up altogether —for a period. Then out of the blue, he remembers he use to LIKE sex (as our encounters grow more and more mundane) so he shaves “for me” to spice things up.

Ka-boom! Out come the pheromones again and we get busy every night (and morning) until either he stops shaving again or we get tired of waking the baby with our ruckus! At that point the shaving, make-up wearing, and pheromone wearing all begins to slide again and the cycle repeats.

Which hasn’t been that bad of thing as it gives our noses (and brains) a rest from all that pheromone stimulation, and we get to ride a natural wave of coming together and drifting apart. I am sure the best relationships are more consistently intimate but this is only three years of marriage here and nothings perfect.

Facial areas:
Shaven. For sure. Not only is facial hair irritating during kissing, it can be downright painful during even more “intimate” activities, if you know what I mean. Delicate membranes + facial hair = losing combo.

Non-facial areas:
Trim, don’t shave. Completely natural retains sweat & odor as well as provides a bit of an obstacle course to your fun zone. But shaving makes you look like a wanna be porn star or, worse, a pre-adolescent boy. Not attractive.

so its leaning to trimmin… i been doin it rite all along lol =D

We need a pol!!

Overall Id have to say I prefer clean shaven.
My bf tends to not shave on the weekends and that’s no big deal to me, he shaves all week so he wants a break, fine w/me. I cant imagine saying “ok you have to shave every day, because I said so” lol.
But a full on beard or mustache, no thanks.

The way I see it, you get rid of the 'stache and keep rest of the sexy facial hair - the most sensitive part seems to be the upper lip for me.

I agree with smelly, DEAR GOD dont shave anywhere else. Last time I felt myself up a pair of shaved legs a la man, I felt like I was feeling up one of my girlfriends :stuck_out_tongue:

thats funny but why would they do that anyways lol???
wolf man syndrome maybe???
and if you were to do that wouldnt waxing be better anyways lmao???

i might be late to the game, but i agree with smelly. clean shaven face.. 5 o’clock shadow might look good on some guys but not all, so unless u think u look good with a shadow, best to just shave, i think

and anywhere else, prob trim. i think id get a little weirded out if the guy shaved/waxed his chest or down there.. yaa

Ok where did the body shaving enter into this?

lol

Some women do like a “hairless” man, but I however DO not like that.
Totally derailing the thread, sorta haha.
I could see if you have a hairy back, but uhh dont ask her to shave it unless she offers and really really means it lol.

A trim of “areas”, fine. Shave your armpits even, but the arms and legs are off limits imo.
Something is very wrong if my bf’s legs were smoother than mine! lol

I wish evolution would just catch up to us women and make our legs hairless lol, shaving sucks!
