What?
It was just a simple question. Who’s got the dirty mind?
Let’s get somethin’ straight here. The word shame is not in my vocabulary!
Hang wit dat, cowboy!

I have a difficult time believing in one-sided arguements
Most of us know what the original use of Oxytocin is and those who don’t apparently didn’t do any homework before buying a product and you just can’t help those people
just because a substance or compound has a predetermined use does not disqualify it for other applications
Yes, it is used to trigger labor in high doses and it tends to be injected directly into the bloodstream for this if I remember correctly
so, awesome we know not to shoot up on Oxytocin…
now as far as it being inhaled in a diffused airbase form I doubt it will have quite the kick…
your arguement is somewhat similar to saying don’t drink water because it in large amounts it can kill you which is generally true with any and all substances
the amount of oxytocin that should even be able to get into your bloodstream through inhaling the spray after it diffuses into the air is probably microscopic in comparison to the amount used in medical application and if your in pharmaceuticals you should be aware that many drugs/medications/etc can have different effects or even function differently when you drastically change the dosage level
also, this is a hormone that is released into our bloodstream naturally during interactions with other people, so we already get what is most likely a much higher dose of Oxytocin naturally then the spray can offer
I won’t even get into the research being done with mood disorders and other such things but you fail to present any countering arguement to contrast your claim other then saying its bad it’ll hurt you I know I am in that field
pharmaceuticals could just mean your a pharmacist for all we know, and they know jack about medications and drugs outside of what their little handbook tells them although most would claim otherwise
Are you a researcher or someone legitimately in the pharmaceutical field?
I spent a great deal of time trying to look for something, anything!! that was bad about oxytocin and I came back empty handed other then some mild side effects that are currently known about it
even androtics has a few bits of bad press to its name and we all know that they are the real deal!
I can’t find any legit arguements against this stuff so far
Lissie did NOT present a one sided argument, she presented medical facts and legal truths about Oxytocin! Is the federal government always right or looking out for our best interests? HELL NO!!! But the fact of the matter is, Oxytocin can have some unwanted/undesirable effects and if you get caught with Oxytocin without a prescription you can go to prison!
Everything she said is true and accurate. Whether or not it applies in all situations, dosing, or methods of application are irrelevant! Believe what you want. She was just trying to be helpful.
Maybe you should go get yourself some Oxytocin without a prescription. If you do, make sure to notify the DEA so they can lock your ass up and then be sure to let us know, so we know why you disappeared!
Actually yes, she did, one-sided… as in showing only one side of the arguement…
I don’t know how to dumb it down more then that hopefully you understand now, lol
if you want to argue the fact then please show me where she addressed a counter arguement for her statement…
i also agree it was pretty one sided, oxytocin shows promise in disorders like social anxiety (XTC also releases this stuff by the way)
and may be used for drug dependency
its also released when having sex and stuff wich makes me beleive it might actually improve health
Not the best way to win friends and influence others dude!
Here let me dumb it down for you:
There’s no arguement to be made. It’s a fucking controlled substance and illegal to possess without a prescription. Or are you to stupid to understand that?
This is true but how does it have anything to do with pheromones ? No one is saying it dosnt have its purpose. We are saying its purpose is not to transmit signals to others.
Plain and simple its a drug not a pheromone. To say its like a pheromone would be like saying taking steriods (for example) sends signals to others. Of course they dont they effect the person who takes them only. PC another pheromone lab just got shut down for selling illegal drugs as pheromones. This incident will have a trickle down effect and could effect honest pheromone companies as well.
Medical facts still remain, Yes it releases into the blood during sex. INTO THE BLOOD, not into secretions. Not into the air. Oxytocin has a life span of 3 minutes. It never enters the brain due to the brain blood barrier. It dosnt work pheromonaly. Yes it can alter moods in those who use it but not on those who are exposed to those who use it.
A pheromone sends signals to others about you. Androstenone Alpha Androstenol ect ect
A hormone sends signals to you and no one else. Oxytocin So yes it may make YOU trust more. It may make YOU less shy. It may make YOU feel more social but it wont effect those around you.
Now if you want to obtain it illegally and use it thats your business not Androtics business. So as long as that is clear to those who want to use it, have at it.

Boy oh boy, I wish I had some Oxytocin to spray everybody with. Everybody on three take a deep breath… One, two, three, now inhale. Ahh now if we could all just get along
i wasnt arguing that its a pheromone, i just didnt agree its a dangerous drug or something like that, there are some anecdotal reports that oxytocin works tough, the ppl that reports it to work all use it in a situation where “trust” is needed (like when they tell a story ppl beleive them faster) the reports that do not see it working are ppl that are looking for pheromone like effects
i definatly see a pattern in there, so i dont beleive its all placebo, i do agree its way of limitate use to be really usefull, also because its usually reported to work only for 30 minutes
lol, yes because I’m here on this forum to make friends and form up a posse to stroke my e-penis
and thank you for STILL not addressing my complaint against the post and just trying to spam me with the same EXACT info that the last one-sided arguement did and then “calling me out” on not making friends on teh intarweb, haha
and thank you tish! it is nice to see someone that actually knows what they are talking about(or at least someone who is intelligent) address the subject!
I don’t know if I 100% agree with its classification as a drug just because hormones are slightly different from a pharmaceutical drug
After observing its effects it does seem to have some kind of an effect although I wonder if that is due to self-effects or the minimal effect it could potentially have on others
Either way, it doesn’t seem to be particularly effective just because of the extreme variance in responses from person to person and the duration and also because phero’s provide noticeably stronger and more reliable effects that work for longer periods of time and lack a shelf life
and also, I will say that it seems to peak out during the first 30 min
as in, the effects are strongest during this period and then gradually decline over the 3 or 4 hour time period that the site claims it has, it doesn’t always last the full duration of time but its definitely not gone after only 30 min
and I am also Highly interested in what SteveO’s report after trying it out has to say, he seems to have done a much better trial on this stuff and its effects then any of us have
Now this is highly possible and could quite possibly be what is causing perceived reactions.
It has been proven to effect the person using it. Sprayed on ones self you are inhaling it constantly and there is a possiblity that enough could possibly be inhaled and effect your own behavoir in turn effecting the way other respond to you. Its still not probable but possibilty is there.
There are other hormones that are classified as drugs when artificially administered. In fact all drugs are made from some form of natural substance whether its from your body or from the earth.
Oxytocin defiantly falls in that category. Mones occur naturally in the body and have one function, to transmit information. The information they transmit causes a natural reaction in others. They dont cure, treat prevent or effect the structure of the human body in any way. They dont control any function of the human body and when inhaled do not have side effects that can alter the human body. They simply influence mind and emotion.
SteveO is snorting it not testing it as a mone as far as I know. I am sure he will correct that if he is spraying it on in hopes of a pheromonal effect though.
If you feel you are getting a reaction from LT or some other commercially sold mone product that claims to have oxytocin in it use it. Those product wont hurt you. If oxytocin is present there is no way the FDA would let them sell it in effective amounts. But to obtain a pharmaceutical grade chemical to use without the instruction and observation of a trained medical professional is not wise in my opinion.
By the way I am not being argumentative, I am simply having a interesting debate. ![]()
I posted a bit about it in my blog, but I still am testing. Tisha is right though where I am using a nasal inhaler for self-effects and not pheromonial.
» The Long Awaited OxyTocin Report (http://junkyfungus.com/?p=14)
Yes, the people at the site claim that because their product is not a prepared application of the substance it falls under a cosmetics product or something and can’t be regulated by the FDA for using oxytocin
while at the same time they also will not disclose the amount of oxytocin in their product but offer a guarantee that there is indeed oxytocin in their product
so this suggests that the level of actual oxytocin could be very very small in liquid trust, small enough to not be regulated by the FDA for distributing it and yet it seems to have some kind of an effect at least on the person using it
I generally apply this to the chest area and have tried applying away from my face to reduce my own exposure, I haven’t done this with LT by itself but the LT effects seemed much less apparent when they were further away with makes me think the effects may be more related to self effects
and I do know about the definition and classification of drugs I just don’t fully feel hormones are exactly the same because of other reasons but they are very similar to a drug
most studies and tests have shown it definitely does something but generally the results are somewhat inconclusive but I must say SteveO had interesting findings with his dosage levels and it makes me wonder how directly the dosage impacts the effects of oxytocin
Well oxyto.cin is definitely a big win in omy book
It’s actually pretty easy to boost a woman’s natural Oxytocin level through behaviours, both for a woman to do to herself and for a man to do to her.
Most of the traditional masculine-feminine ways of interacting actually boost testosterone in men and oxytocin in women.
Boosting it in a man is much more difficult.
Excellant thought butterfly, Its been proven that copulins can increase a mans Testosterone by 130% when they are exposed to it.
Perhaps there is a male mone that can increase a womens level of Oxytocin. My guess is that it would be A1 but I am not sure if there is studies to indicate this. I will have to look around.
A much better way to get the same effect if it proves true.

I think oxytocin boosts serotonin in women, so any phero that boosts sero would also make a rise in oxytocin seem more plausible. If you would combine that with a few naturally oxyboosting actings like helping a woman in her coat, placing your hand on her back and giving her something to eat, the extra rise in sero would seem to come from the guy being chivalrous, masculine and protective.
What I have noticed is that women who regularly boost oxy in themselves are way less addicted to it in men. I guess when a woman sees a certain man as the only supplier for her oxy-addiction, she becomes enslaved to him. This hormone is a hard drug, and I do think it is the reason who some women stay with murderers etc.
I don’t want to get too much into the argument here except to point out one thing. According to the Webster’s New World Medical Dictionary pheromones ARE hormones.
“Pheromone: An agent secreted by an individual that produces a change in the sexual or social behavior of another individual of the same species; a volatile hormone that acts as a behavior-altering agent.” (Emphasis mine.)
“Hormone: A chemical substance produced in the body that controls and regulates the activity of certain cells or organs.”
Ergo, pheromones regulate certain cells or organs. Emotional response is not independent of biological functioning. And it is well documented that copulins effect the biologic functioning of testosterone production in the males who are subjected to them. That is a direct regulatory function of these volatile hormones.
So, the question is not whether hormones are dangerous and pheromones are not. It is, rather, is oxytocin volatile (in which case it is a pheromone, i.e., a volatile hormone) or can it be made to diffuse (in which case it can be made into a pheromone). Oxytocin, does, btw, transmit person to person in the case of non barrier intercourse (male to female) where it effects feelings of satiation, euphoria, and bonding even in the absence of female orgasm, and in the case of breastfeeding (mother to child) where it effects bonding. So up close and personal, oxytocin is a pheromone, is it not?
How do pheromones act biologically, anyway? Typically hormones act on DNA to either inhibit or enable or increase RNA production for certain proteins and enzymes that act on other pathways.
I’d like to see more direct information on what enzymatic pathways individual pheromones affect, and if they do indeed perform this same function in their targets. If they do (which I believe is their function), how do they do it. In other words, what do they up-regulate, down-regulate, inhibit, or enable?
Oxytocin has been well studied and documented, but even its complete understanding is in its infancy. And I have to say that I don’t buy into fear tactics based on massive dose information or on route dependent effects (i.e., intravenous vs. inhalation). And we all know that OD’ing is way different from a targeted response.
So, help me out here all of you chemists and bioscience people. Do pheromones act as hormones in their targets or only in their host originators, or is the effect only to the receptor sites in the nose? Do we know? Are there any studies out there looking into this?

I am not a scientist but my brother is and we have discussed this alot. From what I gather.
Technically Hormones and Pheromones derive from the same sources in the body and are closely related. Pheromones are derived from hormones. Websters defined it correctly but didnt make the difference as clear as they could have.
Simply put
Hormones work in the body but not outside the body
Pheromones work outside of the body but not inside the body.
Scientifically copulins are not considered a pheromone. They are lipids and fatty acids.
I would have to say yes hormones are dangerous if not used correctly.
Remember hormones work within the body Pheromones do not, they do not enter the blood steam after they are released. There is a brain blood barrier that blocks them. Hormones can enter back into the blood stream.
Pheromones effect thought and emotion but not the process of the body. Hormones effect body process which can trigger thought and emotion.
Not necessarily, just because it can diffuse dosnt make it a pheromone
In both cases its acting as a hormone. Its entering the system, its not sending a signal outside the body as mones do.
