Oxytocin: when will you have a product that contains it?

Ewww!

Diane

I think y’all are straying from the point.

There are some excellent arguments for why Liquid Trust should not work, having to do with the original research on trust and oxytocin and the character of the molecule.

However. There are a whole bunch of people who are getting the desired effect out of this product (myself included). But there are also some who aren’t and, more importantly, some that get the effect with one batch and then don’t get it with another.

The obvious conclusion is that there is something else in the product, probably chemically similar to oxytocin, but with a mechanism not understood, that has the desired effect but is either unstable, has a poor manufacturing method, or both.

Happens all the time. Hell, even aspirin was a medication for decades (if not centuries) without anyone having clue one as to how it worked.

I’m pretty ignorant about this kind of thing, so forgive me in advance. Does a product exist in spray form that promotes the body’s production of Oxytocin, similar to how some supplement products claim to promote production of HGH? If so, perhaps that’s what’s in the LT. I dunno… just taking a stab in the dark here.

OK, we’ve PM’d back and forth, and I hope we’re good with each other now.

My biggest reason for ranting and not wanting people to view hormones and pheromones as being one in the same is that pheromones are not currently regulated or on the FDA’s radar screen, while at least some hormones are listed as controlled substances and regulated.

If the two were viewed as being one in the same, it could be a short step before pheromones fell under federal regulation, and we could lose our toys. :frowning:

Oxytocin is probably a good example, because although I am not positive, I’m pretty sure that it is regulated as a pharmaceutical product, and cannot be purchased in straight form without a prescription. Of course it’s also meant to be administered intravenously or intra-muscularly though.

Androstenone is already listed as a controlled substance in Florida, and that’s at lease part of the reason why Androtics relocated to California.

I don’t think the FDA is gonna take their cue from us!:open_mouth:

And most hormones aren’t under FDA regulation, even those used for medical treatments. That surprised me, but it’s true. Testosterone, Progesterone, Estrogen are not regulated by the FDA, and you can buy them easily without a prescription. Where problems come in is in competitive sports, and that is heavily regulated. That’s a whole nuther ball game.

EDIT: FDA can smack down anyone selling these if they do so while making medical claims, and you can’t compound them for treatment of known diseases or disorders.

Diane

Now that much I did know. It seems like almost everything in the world carries the: “Not intended to treat” warning lables these days.

actually does not surprise me, in truth is the more this stuff gets in the mainstream we will have a problem, i would not be surprised one day if they start trying to regulate it.

I blame the big pharmaceutical companies. If you know anything about Wyeth Labs and how Premarin is produced, you’d be appalled. The pharmaceutical companies are the ones driving all the regulation. When you are talking $1Billion in sales every year from one hormone, you don’t want competition cutting your legs out from under you. But it is dirty business.

Diane

why would big pharmaceutical companies want to be regulated by the FDA? if anything they hate the FDA.

then again the way this country is going eventually the government will be owning pharmaceutical companies anyway

Read and weep… this is so awful.

The FDA also received a petition from the drug maker Wyeth, of Madison, N.J., which asked the agency to take action against compounding pharmacy operations that produce compounded BHRT drugs. Others who have expressed concerns about these compounds include health-care providers and consumer groups, according to the FDA. http://health.usnews.com/usnews/health/healthday/080110/fda-warns-against-bio-identical-hormone-therapy.htm

Believe me, this is truer than any of you know. They want regulation that protects their patents and their profits, but nothing else. Anything designed to protect the health and safety of the consumer is considered an annoyance at best.

I don’t think Liquid Trust works.

I’m pheromone free today, and feeling like crap.

Was reading some of the studies in the forum and came across the Oxytocin article.

Lol, i’ve forgotten about that 2 month supply of Liquid Trust hidden from my pheromone collection.

5 minutes ago, i sprayed 3 times of Liquid Trust onto my shirt and sniffed harded at it.

Results
A slight and brief light headed sensation which i believe is contributed by the alcohol ingredient of Liquid Trust.

Other than that, nothing! :frowning:

I heard that even the working bottles of LT don’t last for long (I.E. they can’t sit on the shelf like most everything Androtics makes can)

I haven’t had that problem.
