Mark, I think your misunderstanding… Lets break it down to one mone at a time cause there are to many to make a blanket statement about.
Yes anone is a precurser to testosterone but it occurs in the body therefore its still a hormone till you take a piss LOL
Pheromones are not molecularly different inside the body and outside the body. They are categorized different. The structure is the same. The molecules is identical its just that all hormones and pheromones are not identical to each other.
Lets take anone for instance.
Its molecular structure is … C19H28O
Whether you find it in the sweat or urine (inside) the body or outside the body. Or in boars taint or celery the molecular structure is C19H28O They weigh the same inside the body and outside the body.
Its a fact proven by science. I am using wikipedia just look it up.
It says its a steroid … Now a steroid is …
But there are steroid hormones…
Anone is a androgen therefore its a steroid hormone in the body.
Pheromone means…
Therefore outside of the body anone becomes a pheromone.
The blood brain barrier is complicated it is said that certain androgens can cross the barrier into the brain (not into the blood stream) I have a hard time explaining this and I dont have a good grasp on it yet. I have the study here though thats interesting … http://cat.inist.fr/aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=17023238.
But basically they can travel past the blood brain barrier creating effects but because its a derivitive of testosterone it can not travel in the blood stream to increase testosterone levels. Which has been asked on here. They explained all that to me after I made some mistakes.
Now I agree with you about Oxytocin, It is a hormone, It has not been proven to work pheromonally It can not cross the barrier. Its to volatile to exist outside the body. Phermonally its weak.
So I think we are all three of us in agreement for the most part but having trouble with the delivery aspects and pathways or mechinisms.
