Well just to clarify, the auto-linker when you type in A-none shows up with the definition for E-none which is NOT the same and therefore not to be confused.
It’s believed to be 30% more effective in the sexual chemistry of androstenone without the aggressive aspects also associated with androstenone. However it tends to be just as volatile and therefore why it can only be used in minute dosages. Where as a man my age (43) usually can get away with wearing more of E-none, with A-none I can still only wear minuscule amounts without the ghosting OD effect associated with heavy quantities of sexual mones.
You can read an old discussion found in the Love-Scent Phero Library found here from 2008: http://pherolibrary.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-16827.html
A thread started on Ptalk by sugarspice started in 2008 here: AndrostAnone vs AndrostEnone
Journal of Chromatography A: Volume 363, Issue 2, 1986, Pages 293-302, back in 1986 did a study involving the differences as related to boar taint, but the article is now archived and thus there is a fee. I’ll see if I can’t dig up a copy and post if I can get permission.
and finally a link from the governments pubmed discussing post operative olfactory studies using derivatives of 5 alpha-androst-16-en-3-one (androstEnone) such as 5 alpha-androstan-3-one (androstAnone) and DMCMC found here: Differential responses to odorant analogs after re… [Physiol Behav. 2002] - PubMed result.
A quick search will reveal more, but I just wanted to clarify what I was saying since the autolinker is incorrect in linking 5 alpha-androstan-3-one as 5 alpha-androst-16-en-3-one which it is NOT ![]()
