Note: This particular testing was conducted for the specific purpose of determining P75’s “not caring” qualities.*
Product and dosage:
P75, neroli, 2.5 mcg
Environment:
At work, small hospital
6:45AM - One 2.5 mcg spray to neck
I need to find a new job, time to move on. My thoughts/feelings on mornings before work are often a bit tense and a little bitter. Not right away, but maybe 20 minutes later, the tense bitterness receded to be replaced by purposeful ones.
There was an inservice I had to attend that started just as I arrived at work at 7:00AM. As I sat listening to the speaker, my mind began to wander and I found myself thinking about my “finding a new job” strategy. I finally had to write on the back of my handout, so many ideas were coming to me.
It finally ended, and I was able to go back to my office and really work on it. I felt focused. Purposeful, confident in a cool, level headed way. When I walked down the hall, my stride felt purposeful as well. Smooth, capable.
11:00AM - One more 2.5 mcg spray of P75 to neck
Continuing to make lists, research and make a few calls, I found myself almost humming a little under my breath. Weird. I wasn’t “happy” per se, but it felt good to be accomplishing things, actually finally doing something about this necessary change I’d been putting off for too long.
2:00PM - One more 2.5 mcg spray of P75 to neck
The calm purposeful feeling continued. My interactions with patients and coworkers were positive, straightforward, I felt more “professional” than usual, but in a friendly way. More matter-of-fact.
6:00PM -
For the first time since the P75 first kicked in in the morning, that unpleasant, slightly worried, slightly sickish feeling began to creep back. I gave myself another 2.5 mcg spray, to my forearms this time. I sat quietly for a minute, and all of a sudden, for a long moment, I became super aware of the air conditioning sound and the ticking of the wall clock. That heightened awareness of the mundane sounds soon faded, to be replaced a glad relief that the negative feeling was no longer there.
Conclusion:
P75 didn’t exactly make me “not care”, what it did was make the unpleasant thoughts and feelings not unpleasant anymore.
Unlike P103, whose not-caringness is more carefree and makes bothersome things both less bothersome and less important, P75 does not make things less important, only less bothersome.
With P103, you realize you don’t need to think about or deal with anything at all. With P75, you still feel the need to think about/deal with things, but it doesn’t hurt now.
