I immediately notice a slight increase in alertness, followed by confidence as I walk to class. This confidence is different from the confidence I mentioned in my report on P90. It is more sexual in nature, more masculine. P90’s confidence feels more like androsterone or A314. P77’s is swagger, androstenone. I am heading to my first class when a girl walking to my left suddenly says “Hey!” I look at her and am momentarily confused and think she might have been talking to someone else. Then she takes off her shades and I realize she is in class with me. She says she was walking right beside me to the same place, so it felt weird not to talk to me or at least make her presence known. She introduces herself as Emma (the semester is almost over and I don’t know her name yet, for shame) and I introduce myself as well. We continue on our way to class, talking mostly about that particular class and school in general (one of these days, I’ll learn to talk about something besides school, I promise.) I noticed the entire time that she was walking closer to me than I would have expected, especially since we just met. In class, I am fairly alert, though this is also possibly because I sat in the front row near the middle, since it was the only practical chair open. I usually sit in the second row and a bit off to the left. Class passed uneventfully and I headed to my next class.
When I arrive, I sit next to the girl in that class from my UF pack reports. I hadn’t seen her as much for a while, since we alternately skipped lectures for a while, but today we were supposed to have a quiz. We did. I was surprised and happy to find that I knew most of the answers, though I hadn’t kept up with material like I usually do. Throughout class, we chatted and read news articles on her laptop, as well as reading along in class in my book. I also engaged some “accidental” touching, letting my arm brush against hers on the armrest of the chair. Surprisingly, I observed no reflexive pulling away. We essentially shared the armrest. At the end of class, the teacher dismissed us, then suddenly remembered something and told us to wait so he could explain. At this point, the girl moved her arm so it was resting on my shoulder, sort of draped over it. At first, I thought she just meant to prop in on the back of the chair, but I realized my shoulder was much higher than the back of the chair, so that couldn’t be her intention. She kept it there while she talked to me and made steady eye contact, so she was definitely aware of it. She actually held it there past even the point of naturalness, since people were starting to get up and leave and she just sat there with her arm on me. This struck me as very odd, since she is normally not a very touchy person. She occasionally talks about cuddling with a guy she’s seeing and apparently often stays at his house, but in public, I almost never see her touch anyone. I couldn’t tell if it was something sexual or just friendly or what. I’ll have to wear this around her again.
