Hi all,
I just chanced upon this site yesterday in my random searches during an idle day at work (a rare one). Normally I would have just moved on, but after reading a few of the posts here, I was intrigued enough to enrol. My name is Joe (let’s leave the official unpronounceable name for later), I live in Jersey City NJ, and work in NYC. I am a software engineer, working as a consultant in the I.T. department of an investment bank. I was actually doing some homework about a pheromone I had ordered, and came upon Androtics.
My search took me through various sites and resources, some claiming, disclaiming, and some merely offering information about the effects of pheromones (or lack thereof) on humans. Clearly, humans have abandoned so much of their olfactory capabilities that they have consequently lost a lot of their corresponding bio-chemical sources as well. However, I realize that it has not been forsaken entirely, as we do see concrete instances of human behavior altered at a biological level by odoriferous sources - whether natural or synthetic. That is what piqued my interest in learning more.
As for me, I’m gay, and I have never had any trouble finding targets for sexual or romantic interests. Usually at parties, bars, classes or other places of close human interaction, I’ve received a great deal of attention from men and women alike. But that often causes me more woe than anything else, since I’m a very shy guy, and get tongue tied until I have a few quarts of alcohol in my system. I’m almost always the dark, mysterious, inaccessible guy in the corner observing everyone yet not participating. On a rare occasion, someone would breach my wall of ice and make an effort to talk to me. Most of those conversations are short and I usually wake up in a different state, asking myself 'Where the **** am I!". The remaining cases actually end up in something substantial, and that explains the small number of friends I have - few yet close - the way I like it.
I know booze is an easy solution, but I was kinda hoping for a more elegant one (especially one that didn’t risk me toppling face down or ending up on www.textsfromlastnight.com) - hence the curiosity towards mones. I haven’t ordered anything from Androtics yet, but it won’t be long before I do - especially since I see a number of products targeting several purposes other than sexual attraction (openness, comfort, command, assertion) - all of which I think I’d like to experiment with. I’m not a social butterfly who needs to giggle and talk inanities with just everyone, but I think a little bit of interaction with the right people would be better than impersonating furniture. To tell the truth, I’m very eager to see what difference these products make in my social life (complete transformation or subtle enhancement - either would be interesting to note). Contrary to my reclusive description above, I can be quite entertaining in the right kind of atmostphere. But most of the attention I get has the same old ulterior motive, and I think being seen as something else would be a welcome change [although I admit - the ulterior motive is undeniably essential from time to time].
I’m trying to think up of questions that haven’t already been answered here. I’m impressed at the level of information in this forum, and thank the knowledgeable staff - I’m sure it will come in handy. However, the first thing that comes to mind is: considering that my target audience isn’t the same as the usual, I assume I’d still be choosing the same products geared towards men (?) I’m also wondering if there’s anything concretely different between these and Mystery Boy… There are a few more questions, but I’d rather keep it short for now…
Whatever you suggest would be my New Year gift to myself
In any case, it’s good to be here and learn about people’s experiences. Happy Holidays everyone!
