Here, in case anyone needs some serious assistance from this wonderfully helpful organiztion, lol.
Sometimes I feel like I can’t function socially without mones anymore. Almost as if not wearing mones is like not wearing clothes basically. I do take more days off than most people here (at least 2 days of the week I don’t wear) I feel more like a controlled addict but I’m starting to warp my perception in a bad way.
I was taken advantage of in middle school and high school because I was too trusting and kind hearted. A part of me wears mones to protect myself from other people as weird as that sounds. I feel like people bullshit with me a LOT less when I wear them.
I can totally relate to that.
Yah, me too.
Okay, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our two newest PAA members, Olfact Amorous and Snoopyace! ![]()
It is definetly an addiction. I use pheromones only for 2 months now but i don’t wanna go out without them. I hope this will not make a big problem in the future ![]()
How do you separate your own self worth vs the self worth you feel and look when you use mones? My persona definitely can be very dynamic when using certain pheromones and when I go out without mones on I just feel very plain. I work very hard to create the self image I want to project to other people and I don’t want to be phero dependent even though I’ll always be using them to some degree.
I know what you mean. Though one thing I hoped they would do for me was to kind of “train” me to the to the self-image and perceptions I want to elicit, to the point that those things would eventually become a part of ME, even without pheromones.
I get what you mean and idealistically thats what I desire as well. After reading about certain people on here I can see that some people here have really improved themselves as all around social beings even when pheromones aren’t a variable. I guess based on what snoopy has said we have to use the results we get from pheromones to boost our own natural self esteem and to show us we are capable of being “the man” or “the woman” who people can only wish to contend with.
Isn’t that exactly what you are doing? Think of this, you are still you when you use mones. You aren’t doing anything you normally wouldn’t do. You might think you are, but you aren’t! They are just bringing out a part of you that you might not be fully comfortable with or know that you had. Seriously, have mones ever made you do something that you would never think about doing? Absolutely not.
What does that mean? We are completely capable of competing with the men and women we want to with or without mones. I mean, unless the person you after is a entirely superficial and fines flaws in everything, but who wants that anyway. It is in you, its not just the mones! Mones only supplement what is already there
and that might be the best part about them, most of the reactions you and others have are almost always very natural. The mones are just bringing out aspects that you already have that you like! Rarely do people act like you have some weird magic potion on, their reactions are reactions they would normally have towards you for a certain situation. The mones just help bring them to the forefront.
That said I am guilty of feeling this way sometimes too, but I am trying to cut down and see what I can do by myself. Mones have helped me realize what I am really capable of, and I am starting to realize I don’t need them, but they are a nice little edge and fun to play around with!
I hope this all makes sense.
I understand what you mean for sure. I’ve always been a person that feels
bound to being a “certain” way. Not to say I’m not social or quite pleasant to be around in many cases. The problem with me is I’ve never really been able to be free spirited and emotionally expressive in the positive way that many people like and admire. I am a individualist at heart but I normally feel restricted by social boundaries because at my very core embarrassment and rejection in any facet are true enemies to me. In my past people always found me to be rigid, too serious, easily angered, and uptight. I spent many years analyzing myself through complete horoscope charts, personality tests, and blood type persona to understand why I’m so different and why I couldn’t interact with people the way everyone else did.
One of the examples of interaction has to do with women. Flirting with girls can be absolutely excruciating for me. It’s not the fact I feel like I’ll do it wrong it just feels so unnatural to talk to girl that way and I actually have to think “outside” of my head to do so. And with men I don’t enjoy talking about slapping girls booty’s, talking about girls like chefs talk about meat, and any other lude/crude sort of jokes that guys tend to enjoy a lot among other things. For me I feel a total displacement when it comes to interaction because even though I get along with both men and women I don’t do exceedingly well as being “One of the boys” and I don’t do exceedingly well at being a ladie’s man either.
Pheromones do this for me. Lets say for a long time I ran a hotel. In order to accomodate all my guest’s needs I would allow smoking in the rooms to ensure my my revenue maintained. Overtime the build up of ash tray odor became just too unbearable. I as the owner decided to do away with the smoking allowance and as I did I opened every single window of my building. The goodness of the air being able to come in and my ability to breathe well again (talking in terms of the building) was simply divine. Now I agree with the fact that pheromones won’t make us do something we wouldn’t normally do but with me I feel like pheromones lets me be myself in a way that I normally only can on a piece of paper. (as a writer)
I have to say for the most part what I just have said are very private thoughts that I haven’t even really told my bestfriends. It doesn’t matter if other people know them I’m just saying that every person typically really is a piece of the puzzle but it almost feels like the puzzle piece I represent just doesn’t have a place there and pheromones are just a makeshift way of jamming me into the puzzle so to speak.
Cool, I understand completely where you are coming from and share alot of the same things with you.
I totally relate to this statement. My overt, visible persona is the friendly guy who gets on with everyone. That’s not to be de-masculine about it, because I’m not unmasculine, I’m just seen as a guy who doesn’t rock the boat - I’ve been perceived that way for so long that that has become “me” even though it’s not really. It’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy and even in situations where I’ve had the chance to almost start again I fall back into that default persona.
Where mones have helped me is in being more myself. Rather than being the guy who doesn’t rock the boat but sits there wishing I’d spoken up, I’m now the guy who realises that having an opinion isn’t a bad thing. I wouldn’t say I was raised not to express an opinion, but I was definitely raised to strongly respect authority and management in an unquestioning way - my childhood was spent with the view that the teacher or boss is “always right”. I never grew out of this so never challenged anyone more senior to me in any social or work hierarchy even if I knew they were wrong.
Wearing A314 or IG though has given me that mental strength or confidence or whatever to do so, and to do so respectfully and in a way that is true to myself - ie. I can still be the nice guy who gets on with everyone, I’m just now the nice guy who gets on with everyone but can also have a decent opinion about things and realises that some conflict is actually healthy. Similarly when I’m having a social-confidence crisis IO or IS (or both) can get me back in balance where I know I should be. It’s not a personality alteration in any circumstance of wearing mones, it’s just a truer personality expression - it’s like the mones strip back the veneers I put up through my own discomfort with situations and show the real me, and I “like” that real me a lot better.
I’m not addicted to mones - though the novelty value hasn’t worn off and I’m always keen to see what effects combos may achieve. I wear them 2 days a week at most on average I would guess, and pick and choose when to wear them - this is for two main reasons: lack of testing opportunity being one, and not wanting to wear them around certain people being another. So often I’ll go an entire week not wearing any, then other weeks I might wear them 2 or 3 days in a row or maybe more on occasion.
I think as others have the said the secret is to recognise that mones are an aid, they aren’t there to plug a gap, but in a way can be worn to help show you what you can do.
Everything you do with mones you can do without them. You are amazing - if mones help you to realise this then that’s great, but don’t become dependant on them any more than you would allow yourself to become dependant on anything else that you can’t have all the time.
For me, I work so hard at acting congruent when I’m wearing them that it becomes second nature to act that way even when I’m not wearing them and this helps me a huge deal. I think “shiny gentleman!” and try to forget I’ve not got any mones on! I also make associations - index finger and thumb in a circle I do whenever I get that A314 confident glow - I do the circle and pay attention to my posture, my attitude etc, then do the same when I need to reinvoke it but don’t have A314 handy / don’t want to wear it ![]()
Now…I’ve got to find something to do to get me off this PC before I give in to the urge to get some A1 and make my first proper custom mix! ![]()
Gents
I must admit … i´m sooo addicted to the effects of mones ..
I dont wanna describe all the ups and downs but its some kind of game figuring out what works that catches you and wont let you free …
Pago
Meh, kind of hard to be addicted when there’s hardly anything to be addicted to (meaning pheromone stock, of specially the really good MXs.) Sigh.

Uhhh huh Well there you go. That would explain why you haven’t heard from me. It’s a big ol’ world and I’ve been out there tryin’ to get me some of it.
Anybody who quotes that vanished hero Tacitus is OK with me. (Reminds me that i should go back and reread the classics.)
It used to be a part ‘who’ I am. An essential part of my self image. Pheros have evloved now to a part of my ‘what’ I am. An integral part of my everyday skillset, the techniques and ideas and experiences that I bring to bear on everyday life.
I wear colognes almost every day. But pheros are now more a special occasion thing. Except A314, of course. And I can now go for days at a time without wearing my A314 and not experience much discomfort. But it is always there in that eyedrop squeeze bottle in my pocket. Usually it is just a touchstone. The feel of it in my hand reminds me, changes me. Reminds me to stand straighter, speak clearer, stride longer. And there is still a confidence, a faith that I can make things work out. To paraphrase ZZTop, ‘Hound dog barks in the middle of the night, put my hand in my pocket and I know it’ll be alright’. It works so much better than that little peice of black steel used to. When a situation arises where I whip it out, there are sooo many more options and the effects on people are almost as profound. Peoples responses change almost immeadiatly. Why would I ever want to be without pheros?
I am not addicted to pheromones. I am just heavily dependent.
I addicted. I thought about it the other day, I don’t want to have to be in a work environment again for the rest of my life without A314 on…
I figured if one bottle only cost $79.99 and last me 6 months…I could drop $1000.00 and be good for 5 years…then I thought shit…what if they stop selling it…Hmm well I’ll just have to learn how to make it myself ![]()
Your better off dropping the grand on it. Theres absolutely no way you could make A314 on your own even if you knew the recipe considering the amount of concentration of ingred you’d need to make it.
Dude, I’m scared to even get a bottle of A1 lest i screw up making it,i know
so after my next big gig I get I’m buying 10 bottles for sure.
Funny you revived this thread, i was just thinking about posting here for the first time in a long time. Because I’ve been such a bad girl, I can’t even remember when I’ve taken a “day off”, I just naturally reach for my pheros, almost unconsciously, like I reach for my deodorant every day, lol.
The A1’s not so hard to make. Someone told me to take an empty to-go, put one fifth A1 (the half strength one) and the rest perfumers alcohol. I’m terrible at all the math stuff, but it seemed to work okay. Mixing experts, please correct me if thats wrong.
Hehe, that makes me think of that saying “Instant Asshole, just add alcohol”, but instead its “Instant A1, just add alcohol”.
I know a few people who should have an “Instant Asshole” t-shirt, what a great recipe!! ![]()
Well 1 mL of half strength A-1 is 500 mcgs so if thats in a to-go as a 5th of the bottle that would give you a approximate range of 12.5 mcgs per spray. Thats a reasonable mcg per spray to have. The idea is to keep things simple and not to add too many things together with the A-1 because you can always layer.
The worst thing of all is that I love to make new mixes then I use them for a day or two then i move on to another thing. My mind can never stay with one thing for too long.
