Questions On Personalizing Pheromone Containers and Improving them. :slight_smile:

I was wondering If Glass Atomizers VS Normal Plastic is there a difference I heard Glass was much more better can anyone explain.

Im trying to Transfer My Pheromones into better Atomizers if anyone has any good sites or product recommendations that would be great

I don’t like the cheap ones from Ebay the ones with the seller selling all sorts of Perfume accessories and the same type of to go bottles that Androtics and Sepphora has with the free funnel kits it looks too cheap but the funnels might be useful.

I need to transfer My A314 Oil as well into a better Dripper Bottle with a Dropper Top maybe a Glass Dropper , another question Glass Dropper VS Plastic Dropper ? any recommendations on that would be great too.

4# I need Perfumers Alcohol I have no Idea where to start or what to buy soo any suggestions on this would be great. Does Androtics have this? thought I saw a bottle just filled with alcohol to purchase?

5# well 5 is actually a question on transfer of A314 Oil should I use a funnel or pipette or just free hand as I would like to have minimum wastage and more transfer, transfering alcohol based pheromones are easy with a funnel or pipette just need some advice with Oils I don’t want to waste a drop of A314 Gold.

6# while Transferring will the Alcohol and the Oil Pheromones Evaporate? do I have to be quick in transferring and shut the bottle quickly or can these pheromones be out in the open Air for awhile without too much Product Deterioration ? and is there a risk of product deterioration by airborne contamination if soo will it decrease the shelf life of my precious pheromones?

I Know Long Post with Questions Just have alot on my mind in trying to Modify my Stuff.

To answer this question Androtics does have it. In the mixing supply section all ya need do is select a 30ml bottle. Then you can specify what you would like in bottle, one of which is perfumers alcohol.

There is this place in Uptown (MPLS) that i went to last week (adjacent to a smoke shop) that sold spell books..and Oils…and Spell reagents…and Mixing bottles / droppers / atomizers.. Lots of crazy mixing tools and stuff.

Check out a witch shop. Google one closeby. Its sooo much better to see something before you buy it. Specially if there is more of a selection. If your not in the MPLS area, shoot me a PM and I can let you know next time i head up. I like helping people out and would not mind snappin a photo or two asking for what you would like me to pick up for ya. Just let me know. :slight_smile:

Yes I will try some of the New Age shops around my area they might have some usefull stuff, Yeah I did check out the Body shop they sold metal atomizers and funnels the Atomizers there look nice but kinda too metal for me the metal funnel did look nice though. I work in a security Building soo metal detectors are everywhere soo still looking for nice Glass atomizers like the ones I saw at ScentUps.

Wow I just checked it out again not bad and pretty cheap too $6.94 that will come in handy for my next order, I don’t think I need to look elsewhere for this unless anyone else has a better suggestions, it’s from androtics and it’s probally the same Im guessing as the ones they put into our consumers products if someone can clarify this for me Im set with this question.

If anyone knows where I can get larger quantities as well would be great. Because I would need about 500 mL all together for my Concoctions. It would probally save me some money buying a larger bottle come to think of it.

I really Like WK42 , WK612 AND THE ONE ABOVE IT AND WK62312 if you look at WK435 closely you can see two sprays in one thats kinda neat but you probally cant fit that much into it.

COOL site with lots of Atomizers this is all i’ve got to work with soo if anyone can add more links to my arsenal it would be great.

Whoa, looks like you been doing a little research the past hour :slight_smile: those look good. I would suggest getting a small order at first though since you cant see or feel the quality over the internet.. That way you can gauge yourself on how many you actually want after you are 100% satisfied with it :slight_smile:

I believe in the parfum section there are some “make your own perfume” threads. One of which contained a supplier that dealt in perfumer’s alcohol in bulk. It deals mostly with people inquiring about wanting to learn all there is to make their own fragrances.

Seeing as you’re pretty hardcore into the madness and lookin to get some heavy hardware, it’d be worthwhile to look for such threads. On a something completely off topic, anyone ever tell you you look kinda like Jason Statham?

Yeah I know Andrew Im abit hesitant in getting them until someone else on the forums has dealt with these companies, it’s usually if you find something that looks nice theres usually more then 1 store selling it soo Im kinda trying to find out one store that maybe has it all in one place then having to shop around for each individual atomizer or item. Plus the postage alone is going to kill me if I order multiple things from everywhere, Iam quite happy with Androtics there do have some usefull selection of basic mixing supplies and containers soo at least I can fall back on them if all else fails and my research goes south.

If you’re going to be mixing a lot, get a variable volume pipette, 100mu-1000mu. If you’re going to only be working with a fixed concentration in mcg, around 50mcg+ everytime while mixing, you can get a fixed volume pipette and just use in ratios. So if you get all your putatives, etc in 50mcg only or at a set concentration, you will be fine with the fixed volume one.

6# Stuff does evaporate, but not instantly. You should be more concerned with cross contamination. If you’re going to use a pipette like the one above, you’re going to need pipette tips. Don’t reuse them, unless you use the same tip for the same phero every time. Even with regular plastic pipettes, you should use the same one with the same phero. I use pipette tips with my pipette and since I have like 500 of them (they don’t come in any less) I just toss em after I’m done, lowering the risk of contamination.

I Found 50 disposable pipettes on Ebay someone tell me if this is a good buy I can’t think for myself :stuck_out_tongue: it’s not disposable but then again I dont know enough about the logevity of pipettes how many times can 1 guy use them anyways?

seems my link was taken down. forgot the rule. Anyways if anyone wants to find it, just go to ebay, search their stores and look for science lab supplies.

for plastic pipettes, its ok to use it over and over again as long as you don’t cross contaminate. If you’re going to wash them, use DI water if you can get your hands on it. You don’t need to wash them. The set of 6 variable pipettes? Mmm link me what you’re thinking of. I would suggest getting the 60something dollar variable pipette 100-1000 ul. Other pipettes you have to get the right mark. The variable, digital and fixed volume pipettes do all the work for you. The other stuff you have to do the work. What I mean is, you usually have to get the right amount. So you need to make sure the meniscus is on the line or you might need a stopper or a way to suck up the liquid I believe.

So if you get the set of 6, you need a pump I believe. Not sure though. The set of 6 is 1-50ml right? I would suggest some thing lower. 1ml is a huge amount. 1ml = 1000ul. I find that even 500ul is a lot. I really suggest getting a variable volume pipette IF you are SERIOUS about mixing heavily. If you get the set, you will be using 1ml cause it is the smallest. Think about it this way. For steveo’s mix, total mcg of pheros is 27mcg. So thats 27 parts. If you were trying to replicate that using 1ml, you’d find it pretty hard considering you’d be adding it in 3:4:5 ratios and you’d end up having 27ml of a phero solution. thats a full size bottle pretty much. I don’t think you’d want to make so much of a phero. IMO the most you should get is 1ml, I suggest getting even 200ul.

mmm well everyone pretty much uses the same pipette tips. So whether it be a hospital, university or research lab, its all the same. Its the pipette itself thats the huge difference. If you’re doing research your % error needs to be low. Usually research quality pipettes are digital and very, very, VERY expensive. The fixed volume pipettes has an error of I think 1.5% or around there and that’s fairly inaccurate in my opinion for research.

LOL… for my mixing i use pipettes from science class :stuck_out_tongue: i know… pretty elementary… but it works… high quality pipettes with no shipping and no price… they cost less than a cent each to make and there r thousands at school… i wish i could help some of u out…
