Androstenone is a type of pheromone.
(Turn Up the Heat – Sensual Pheromone Spray Cologne for Men - Alpha A314)
More specifically… Androstenone is a particular pheromone.
I believe my current user pic is what Androstenone looks like (at least its lewis representation).
And… if you’re worried about being more specific, they usually mean 5-alpha-androst-16-en-3-one.
More specifically, Androstenone is a particular pheromone. My avatar is currently androstadienone (another human pheromone). Androstenone is very similar in structure to this.
There’s a bunch of info on it in the theory section if you were to look it up.
Androstenone is best know as a boar pheromone and is sold over the counter by livestock suppliers to aid in hog breeding. As human pheromone it is far less abundant than androstadienone. But ain’t cool to have female pigs take a shine to ya sans slop?
thanks for the help… i guess there are so many people on this site that keep using the words interchangeably and no one really uses them consistently… well thanks from a nube who won’t get them wrong anymore. Keep on wearing pheromones
