You’d also really need to do “double blind” studies that included various concentrations of pheromones, and placebo products. Since so much of pheromones effects are “subjective” there would also be a lot of difficulty interpreting the results. And as mentioned, there will be many individual variables. Just look at the hassles they have with mainstream pharmaceutical tests. After reading some of them you feel they really don’t have a clue as to what some drugs do. The “adverse effects” some drugs list go on and on and on, and are sometimes contradictory.
In some ways it would be nice to have some “facts,” but for the moment I think we are just going to have to rely on the way things are now.
And in regards to there being so many “pheromone-containing” products, I recall that the local grocery stores and health-food places are loaded with products that have some “beneficial” ingredients in them, but when subject to actual analysis the amount of said ingredient is too small to have any effect. I understand the amount of pheromones in Realm colonges is hardly enough to register for example…
Of course the good news there is that many people who try these weak concoctions will figure they “don’t work” and will forget about them, leaving those of us who use the “real thing” at an advantage.
Plus I too want to keep pheromones as my secret weapon… he he he…
