Pseudo-human pheromones?

What would really interest me as a scientist, is if you have created or employed any pheromones which humans do not produce naturally? Have you had any field trials or success with different isomers? Perhaps 5-alpha-androst-16-en-3-one works quite differently than 4-alpha-androst-16-en-3-one?

Such fun stuff to test! Is there a place where I can get better research on your putatives (or is that top-secret)?

Seems to me that if they aren’t human, humans wouldn’t react ( even though we share some mones with non humans).
Sort of like putting diesel fuel in a gas powered car.

Oh, there’s all kinds of possibilities!

Perhaps there’s pheromones out there that the human body has stopped producing itself, but can still react to… this could mean discovering new routes to new sensations or feelings. Perhaps even a new way to experience an emotion.

Also, as far as I can speculate, pheromones are mostly about “does the molecule fit the sensor”. Slightly differing variations of molecules that the body can still detect may still fit and may give slightly different side effects.

A possible analogy comes from trans- fats. Noone in nature makes 'em, they’re synthetically produced, but the human body can still break them down for high energy-yield (usually without causing cancer too  )

Uhmmm…
Have you looked at a newspaper lately? The city of New York is banning Trans Fats! Of course you don’t have to worry about cancer, the clogged arteries will kill you first, trans fats are worse than saturated fats for causing clogged arteries. You may want to look HERE!

Yes, I’m up to speed with the hype about trans- fats… let’s not get off-topic . It was a silly analogy, I know.
Just because nature doesn’t make it, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be tested .
…seems they’re already on the right track by finding “happy pheromones”. Perhaps external pheromone therapy can be used as a healthier alternative than od’ing on Vallium everyday or something (another silly analogy).

 I’m just expressing my enthusiasm about the prospective scientific work that can be done in this field

Our bodies don’t produce (most) pharmaceutical products but we still react to them. It’s what fits the receptor.

Great thoughts LustEquation! I am pretty sure that not all the putatives sold at Androtics are those that are found in human wastes. Many of them may indeed be isomers of existing more popular molecules.
