If you are a US citizen it is your right to vote. Many nations do not have that privilege. I encourage you to take time and go and vote today. Regardless of who your candidate might be, what the press will have you believe, whether you think its in the bag or not, please get out the vote.
Please this is not a political message to endorse anyone, this is simply a way to remind you and encourage you that TODAY is your chance for you to be heard.
The problem is you’ll never know what a difference it would make: We in germany got rid of the conservatives a couple of years ago and placed the socialdemocrats in charge of the country. Guess what they did - they made the socially worst ‘reformations’ since centuries, causing more and more people falling into poverty. That’s NOT what was expected from a socialdemocratic government.
So yeah, voting can make a difference, but you’ll never know what the difference might be as politicians in most so-called democratic countries couldn’t care less for the will of the majority of the people… Yes, I’m frustrated with politics!
Well, whoever will be the new president of the US - he can’t be by any measures worse than the current one!

P.S. maybe Androtics/SmartMones should follow suit?
Androtics: Free To Go Bottle of a consumer product
Seriously though - Steve is right. It is your right to vote but it is a serious responsibility purchased with a lot of lives over the years … as well as a lot of lives lost by those from other countries seeking that same basic right.
Congrats to President Obama! I didn’t vote for him, but I can see how it marks a historical change in our nation. I didn’t vote for McCain either though. I wrote in my candidate, and I think you can take your own guess who it was
I’m more concerned about local issues anyway. Like the propositions in California.
It’s nice to see how happy you all are and it’s always nice to see how passionate someone can be…
Many countries don’t have the opportunity of voting, and I don’t know if it’s especially French, but here many people don’t even take this opportunity and still growl because they’re never happy with the new policy run…
In France, this passionate campaign reminded us of the one which happened in 2002 when so many people were certain that the leftwing (socialist) candidate would be in the second turn that they didn’t go to vote, thinking that others would vote.
And he failed, leaving the place to the extreme-rightwing candidate, which malde a scandal you might have heard of.
It’s really good to see that in the U.S. you count on yourself AND others, and not just rely on others and then growl.
Oh… I’m being long… and I’m not wearing Instant Openness or Instant Honesty…
