Putatives and MXs - LF in-depth resources

Hi guys (and gals that prowl the men’s forum).

I’m a regular user of some Instant line products. Lately I’ve been considering some other AD products for a supplementary purchase, but I’m having trouble with where to start.

I do want to experiment (don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a get laid quick thing with me) but when I look through the store, and in particular through the Putatives section, I kinda feel stonewalled. They’re all labeled by a number, almost none of them have a comment or review on them, and none but p74, p79, and p81 even have a product description (which is a description of the strengths available, not of the effects!).

I understand that I can read through the journals for specific experience reports, and that I can search by keyword using the forum search (this is not my first forum) but I can’t search for reports that use, say, p79 to the exclusion of all other mones. I don’t mind reading through journals to find isolation single-mone testing, but that’s very time consuming, especially considering how many journals there are!

In short, I’m looking for a thread like this one for AD products outside the Instant line. I realize that a lot of the mones, especially the experimones, are single molecule and their effects can be surmised by the instant line products that they are featured in, but that doesn’t really apply for the putatives or MXs with unspecified contents. And the Putatives and MXs are the products that seem to get the most varied and interesting results (in my limited opinion from reading journals).

Anyway, I would appreciate any help in this matter. Point me in the right direction, tell me I just have to slog through the journals, whatever you have to do - just don’t turn away a man seeking knowledge!

Peace

Just stick “putative guide” into search - there are any number of threads listing the properties of different putatives. Similarly certain MXs but you are better to search and sift on the MX number you are interested in as they move/change/get discontinued so fast. Similarly individual puts are often well reported in mens - you just need to sift more and all the reading is worthwile. However, popular ones like MX297/390 do have considerable resources already established - search “mix repository”.

You do need to remember that all of these are wholly subjective as AD is really looking for our individual responses - and reporting on your own findings, without reference to others is a good way to gain RU status in the shortest possible time.

Although saying all that, it is well worth finding your feet with the Instant/consumer line first - You will more quickly get the hang of observing and reporting results with established and well understood products. MX’s, Puts and Experimones can initially be a lot more fickle/subtle to evaulate.

There really is no accurate guide to the putatives.

These are in testing and are supposed to be used without knowing what they are or what they do. This way when you report its a more accurate unbiased report. The advanced section of the AD store is research based.

Hey ya’ll, thanks for the tips.

So I know this goes against the spirit of blind-blind experimentation to consult with these sorts of guides, but I wanted to know at least what ballpark these putatives were going to be in before buying/testing. I mainly test at work (with a little testing in bars on weekends) so I really can’t afford to buy a heavily enone-like putative and wear it to work.

Using mobo’s suggested search terms, I found This Putative Guide (external link) in this thread about MX292, although it was actually in the signature of SoulCreator.

I read through a fair few threads about some of the more popular mixes, but I’m really more interested in the putatives. MXs seem like commercial products in focus group testing compared to the putatives which seem almost like wildcards.
