I still think that there has been a culture around a forum of throwing everything on you but the kitchen sink. There have been so many times I’ve seen
“3x MX301, 2x MX297, 60mcg P83, 2x AMMO, 2x IS, 2x IH, 2x CTTM”
I exaggerated a little bit but that’s how it’s become, get the best newest most popular MX/P and let’s toss it in together to make a super mix. This is how some of the MX/P gets a run of it to the store.
Having the RU forum that’s controlled would help out a lot, I know everytime someone who’s known as a great tester comes out with reports people go rush to buy it. This is also why I think that there are a lot more of experienced users that don’t report regularly. I believe their experience and senses are invaluable to AD’s research and for other users.
The forum, I think, would be RU’s journals with single P and MX, and as the time is appropriate, post it on the main forum, gather more tests and look at the discrepancies between RU’s and new users. Sometime someone green might offer valuable insight just because it was an effect no one else noticed.
Also if that’s not possible, just put it in a sticky, the guidelines for everyone to read so there are no ambiguities about it.
Well the way I figure it, the more solid and reliable data that you guys collect the more likely you are to come up with improved versions of existing products or new products altogether. I’m not a scientist myself but the basics I learned in HS science class tells me that the random and haphazard way some of the MX’s and putatives get thrown into these kitchen sink mixes makes separating the wheat from the chafe tricky.
That’s cool but as John said there can be interaction factors not being addressed. A consistent and thorough way (at least imo) would be to try Steves “sweet spot” testing for a given MX or putative. Record and report your results. Then try it again but with a consistent dose of a product you already have a good handle on. In your case A314…say doing the sweet spot testing for two weeks or so with the product alone, and then doing it a second time but with 2 drops of A314. Now we have reports on the product by itself at various doses, and how it interacts at various doses with a standard dose of A314. At that point you’d likely be almost half way through a bottle and could go a third time around with Ammo, and then possibly a fourth time with another product.
I realize it’s time consuming and a lot of posters are more interested in personal use but that’s really what the consumer line is for. AD gives some pretty damn good discounts on experimental mixes for a reason. (look at the price of the A314 experimental versions when you’re not logged into your account and then again after logging in to see how generous they are)
In order to warrant being given those discounts I think we owe it to them for giving them to us in the first place to try and provide the most comprehensive and consistent feedback possible. If you’re wanting specific results for specific occasions or purposes stick to the main consumer products for those occasions. I reserve my testing days for times away from work when I make the rounds about town to expose the signal to as many different people in as many different environments as possible. I use the mx’s at work from time to time but I carry an empty to go with some shine and io sprayed into it as an “in case of emergency spray this” product in case the effects are more negative than I’d care to deal with at work.
As users are presenting their theories about research I thought I could present my own.
Whether we like it or not, Reporting Users and non-Reporting Users are constantly diluting their reports with biased opinions. You may be saying in your head “no you’re wrong, I’m completely honest and unbiased in my reports”. No one is.
Think about 3 decent, sane, intelligent people going on a night out. None of them have anything to drink or any other mind altering substance! They’re always with each other the whole night. Think about what they’d would say if you’d ask them at the end of the night what happened, what they spoke about, who they met, what they laughed at.
Here’s the interesting part. We go back in time and tell them before they were going out what we were going to ask them and why. Would their responses be the same as when they had no knowledge of the experiment? In science, people are more reliable when they don’t know what they are testing and why.
As negative and as disappointing as it may sound, if you wanted to be of most efficient use to the research aspect of AD, you should have never come here.
But we don’t live in an ideal world and musts are musts.
I know for a fact when I tested molecules I didn’t know what they did, I tested and tested and recorded, then I looked at other users’ reports and I got similar results like everyone else.
These were from molecules like P114, P106, P125 and they were randomly selected in the morning and I didn’t know what to expect at times.
Could it be completely unbiased, probably not, but you can get close to it on the reporting side without reading any of the reports.
Oh no I’m not saying that everything people report is wrong and not valid evidence. I’m simply saying how it would be the least biased and the most valid.
Not knowing what you’re testing puts you half way into my box () of an “efficient tester”. If you didn’t know of AD and you were even observed externally, that’s when the data that is produced from your actions is least likely to be biased.
But I do accept that my point is broad and is more applicable to companies where the customers and the researchers aren’t the same people.
Oh and I absolutely do the sweet spot testing when trying something entirely new, However some days I will throw on some A314 or IH on with it if I need it. Although, yea, it might mess with the testing effects that day, but the next day I can always go solo again.
I absolutely used to do this when I first started lol. Just throw it all together man, and see what happens and sometimes it would work out, sometimes not… But yeah I think a lot of people do that right in the beginning, it’s all exciting and adventurous. Most of us come around to being actual testers and not just spraying every bottle in a bucket and jumping in lol.
I think it’d be a decent idea to have a reporting users section as to have an honest divide from that, just so we can keep on target with certain test/reports, but we also don’t want non-reporting users to be too cut off from new information either.
