Reporting standards for men: detailed reports, and what still needs testing

Hello dudes and gentlemen!

After reading some posts I decided it may be good to post about reports for some of the new dudes around here.

Androtics Direct is a research based company. That means that we sell our products on an experimental basis to collect research, with the exception of the Instant Line which is tried and true (but does constantly get good data and helps gauge other molecules).

A great way to learn about reporting standards is to check out this thread:

Without proper and detailed research reports we can’t continue to develop. It actually takes a staggering amount of data for people like M. Harris to work his pheromone magic and we depend on you to help us with that data.

In return, we sell amazingly intricate mixes known as MXs at a fair price. Some MXs or molecules we have sold at a profit loss because we wanted the research, but when that research doesn’t come all we did was give away a hundred dollar product for a fraction of it’s value.

We also have a reporting user status program which gives away discounts to those who provide clean and useful data whether negative or positive to the mixes intention.

When an MX disappears it’s because either the research is exhausted or the molecules are exhausted. We sometimes bring them back or remix a variant.

There are also putative and experimomes that also help us advance the science.

There are many great reporters but currently it’s rare to see new users doing any proper reporting.

The way you can help us is by providing research and reports based on what you’ve learned from the other reporters here and the link I posted above.

Thank you for your time, I cant wait to read about your results! <3

I’ll probably cover most of this in my ustream chat - which might go down this Sunday or some time this week. I’ll announce in an hour or so.

well I’d love to pick up the P70’s 6 pack if it gets restocked, as well as the P90’s pack and if you guys made one for the P80’s series I;d be happy to try that out as well.

I will keep that in mind for sure. We have a lot of other things though that we still need reports on, or were tested under unusable standards such as using Dial magnetic soap at the same time or somebody started with mixes instead of testing things solo.

It will all be covered in my ustream.

Just to be clear though, there’s no particular way to report. It’s what makes PheroTalk so active and amazing is that we all have various styles of reporting and weaving our stories. I’ve always looked for reports that include as much information as possible about what you used, in what context, how much, any variables. My reports are vastly different from someone like the Smellymen’s reports, but they both serve the same worth. One is not better than the other. It’s about individual uniqueness and who you are that makes PheroTalk such a great site.

Keep reporting guys

Id be willing to commit to testing the P70, P90 and a P80 pack one at a time solo,

Correct, its not the output or where you go - its more about the order that things are tested in.

For example:

Timmy buys some MX297, P96, and Ammo. He decides he’s going to be awesome and report on MX297.

However what happens is that he goes with 3 sprays of MX297, 2 Sprays of P96, and then 1 spray of Ammo.

What ends up happening is that the data he provides has no baseline. We don’t know what happens with any of those items and his situation. What we have is a mix up of indiscernible affects.

To be clear, thats mostly what I’m talking about in this section. We end up getting no data on MX297 or P96 because Ammo was thrown in or he started with a lot of sprays of something that could easily work with 1 or 2.

What would be better would be: Timmy tests MX297. Then tests P96. Then if he feels they’d go together well he could start testing them together. But what we need is you to test the experiment we provided. If Harris wanted the extra molecule in the baseline, it’d be there. Do we get good data from your mixes? YES! In fact we love it, however we still need that baseline or we don’t know what separates your mix from the original products.

I’m not talking about the straight format or the situation you test in.

I’m relatively new the forums, but as a physician I am not new to scientific research and inquiry. I have been trying out the pheromones for about a month now for reasons of pure curiosity. You speak of research and scientific data, and money being spent on such. That begs the question, how do the subjective reports and anecdotes of people on a forum actually further that purpose? If the true wish is scientific learning then perhaps the R&D investment would be better spent on controlled trials with blinded participants, randomized placebo/control samples than handing out samples at a loss and taking whatever-may-come as your only return.

It seems to me that there could be little less scientific of an approach than handing out samples to biased (i.e. non-blinded) subjects with preconceived expectations to go walk around in bars and grocery stores looking for “hits.” There is certainly science behind the development and manufacture of pheromones but the methods you are employing to design and test your mixes is utterly unscientific. I realize that this is an incredibly unpopular view to take on forums like this where people live-and-die by anecdotes and heresay, but if you are already spending the money and really, truly want good research data as you say, then you are going about it all wrong. It just seems silly to publish “reporting standards” for a process that is purely subjective and scientifically flawed from the start. Had to be said. Thanks.

that’s why the putatives and mx’s are unknown. anecdotal reports in real world situations offer more practical info than controlled lab settings imo.

We’ve heard this before but that’s just not how we do it. That type of research is not only extremely expensive but also is not what we want. We aren’t doing things the way everybody else does it - if we did, we wouldn’t be as popular or affective as we are.

I challenge you to think of this more as a beta test. In beta testing software (which this is a lot like software) they often use communities and forums. Its about the dialogue as well. In your type of testing, subjects and participants don’t dialogue. That dialogue is something else we monitor.

I can appreciate your style of thinking which is great for physics but this isn’t math - this is an art, and the way we test is very organic.

I Know you want the Story Telling Style of Reporting… That’s makes it a Fun Read and gets the Info Out… However Why Not a Small OutLine of what Info Needs to Be Included… Sort of a Little Cheat Sheet for what Makes a Good Report… This may Help to Increase the Quality of the Reports We are Getting Users New and Old without Changing the Style We All Love…

Actually we want members to report ANY way they feel comfortable reporting and hence why I used my style as compared the smellymen2002. Completely different styles. Where as I go for flair and sensationalism, smellymen simply states fact with very little of anything else. Neither one is wrong.

You should report everything you can remember however you remember it. Tisha23 wrote a thread, that’s a basic outline. The forum is a community though and we all have different styles. When you take away those styles and say this HAS to be in reports, you take away the charm of the community. When you do that you lose members and then the community itself. You should always try and include what product, mcg and any other variables you can think of. Like were you wearing cologne, was it windy, hot, cold, recycled air…but all these can also come out in the report itself. If I report I was in a car with the windows up and the air off you know the environment. Someone else might write it completely different.

The real beauty of it is that if we (the community) has a question, it will get asked. So write what you want, include what YOU think is important and that’s good enough. If there are questions do your best to answer. Eventually if those questions keep coming up, you’ll know to include them. Use your personality to express the best way you know how and that’s the most important thing.

I like facts and I like flare, but the hard part to be honest is really remembering stuff 6-8 hours after it happened. I personally like your style better steve it is much easier to read and it flows better. I think if I had more of a social life and most of my research wasn’t at work my stories would flow better.

Just keep in mind the thread I wrote on how to report was just for those to see the kind of information AD is looking for. I mention on there there is no set way of reporting. Some people asked for a template they could copy and paste because they like that style of reporting and some people like to report by just sharing there story. As Steve said whatever your style there is no wrong or right its just the more info you share about certain aspects the better understanding of the product AD gets.

Frankly I like the sharing “your story” method best because its more personal and I connect better with the author. You get more of a impression of who the person is and I think that impression is also helpful in understanding the pheromones.

AD doesn’t publish nor are they researching scientific data on pheromones. Its more marketing research. What products work, what they do for the consumer. What molecules show promise on a commercial level.

However…The reporting here does contribute to the science of pheromones because it singles out what androgen’s, estrogen’s and other hormones are possibly acting pheromonally so science can conduct further research. You may not see AD’s connection or interaction with the scientific community here on the forum but they do contribute in there own way.

Its not silly to ask for reporting standards. There is certain information that when reported helps in the making of a good product. One that works and the consumers will buy. It also helps give a indication of how something is working outside of sciences controlled “box”.

While I certainly have a respect for science and the scientific method its certainly not the only way to gain more understanding of a putative. Experiments have shown time and again that controlled tests are always influenced in some way by those conducting the test. The second you sit those people down and ask them to smell something that influence begins. They expect something to happen. The problem with controlled tests is people and there environments are not controlled. Just looking at data from controlled testing doesn’t give science a full picture of what putatives can actually do for a individual person.

I personally think sending people out with mones on into a uncontrolled environment gives a lot of valid information which when combined with the hard scientific studies shows a more clear picture of what if anything is being communicated pheromonally.
