record hits from pheros with spycam

I’m a bit late to the party on this but totally agree with Bella. I look at guys ALL the time ( like the “you tube” biceps cam), i would say a hit ( in my limited mone experience) is a direct contact with you, verbal or non verbal communication, engagement verbal and non verbal and not just someone glancing in your direction. As for your 2nd vid on the tube, i play with my fone when feel bored or if i feel i am being watched!

Keep up the vids though very interesting

I am unfamiliar with this “law”. Are you referring to the USA? There is no law against filming anyone in a public location (i.e. public park, street, library, etc), nor is there a law forbidding filming in a private location open to the public (i.e. grocery store, mall, bars, clubs, etc). However, private locations open to the public have the right to forbid it or demand a take-down of the photo or video in question of their location (i.e. you were photographed at a club and put on Facebook, so you don’t have the right, but you can request the club demand it be removed). I believe the matter here is called “ethics”, and that is something that you can’t force upon someone. What one person believes to be wrong does not make it wrong for another. While I’m not saying this is thread is acceptable to me, I cannot condone it either. Please let me know if I am wrong. I just wanted to clarify that for the few people saying it’s illegal to do this.

If a person does something humiliating in public, drunk or not, he or she should [needs to] accept responsibility for it.

I don’t know the official law or anything, but I think it’s only legal to record someone if you let them know you’re recording, or make it obvious (like a camcorder in your hand). If you have a hidden camera, then they do not know they’re being recorded.

Well, one angle on that is hidden cameras used by journalists. I don’t think that journalists operate under different laws in this regard than any other citizen.
Where I live (scandinavia) it is legal to record, photo and videotape clandestinely as long as the device is not installed, i.e. it has to be held by you, or at least on a tripod while handled by you. If you would leave your videocamera hidden in a room, leave the room and record someone else it would be illegal. If you are in the room yourself it is legal.
But when it comes to what you then do with the material it’s another matter. You are not allowed to publicize stuff that is demeaning to others, whatever that means. All those are the local laws where I live though.

Like I’m saying, it’s not illegal. I understand why many people would believe this to be illegal because of the ethics involve in it and it seems to follow common sense, but many would be surprised when they can’t do anything about it. Photographers for journalists and paparazzi are no different from regular people. None of the photos are used for commercially (i.e. your picture is in an ad without consent). Naturally, there are always special circumstances that make it illegal, like public restrooms.

The problem arises from audio recording as it is in violation of US wiretap laws and yes very illegal. Linda Tripp recorded her friend Monica talk about Bill and still was prosecuted.

From the article below it also says people have a right to privacy in expected areas there again making it illegal. If you are in a club (A private property) you are not expecting to be monitored or recorded. I certainly wouldn’t want to be the one to have my name blasted all over the press while proving my innocence. Morally wrong and quite possibly illegal. Of course anyone here is welcome to the challenge of the legal system to discover if it isn’t. After 10 years and $100K in legal fees they could put this to rest . Food for thought below.

You know, personally, I believe that people are entitled to their privacy.

For example, Paparazzi are basically exempt from stalker laws and can get away with anything except murder and trespassing. However, I don’t agree with that because of their, often, Herculean efforts to obtain salacious/sensational photographs.

Speaking of “prey”… it should be illegal to hunt/chase down a celebrity… who has vacated to their private island in the Pacific… to relax away from intrusion/prying eyes… to be dogged by paparazzi in helicopters…with long lenses… photographing them naked on their private beach. It is trespassing and a disgusting practice and as far as I’m concerned does not factor into “freedom of the press”. It’s an man-hunt! Freedom for whom?! More like “free for all”. If the paparazzi did the very same thing to anyone else they’d be arrested for stalking. Celebrity or not it’s unfair and should be illegal. Bella’s Law, lol.

No, no one is expecting to be under surveillance unless it has to do with security/protection. And with the establishment owners consent. A bank, the entrance of a hotel, government buildings, traffic intersections in some cases, etc. Security/protection. Put yourself in your “subjects” shoes and think about how you would feel if someone was spycamming your ass.

If I owned a convenience store or a bar, I would be disturbed/angry to find out someone had been video-recording my patrons and would take whatever steps necessary to stop it. It’s not illegal, huh? Well, there are things that can be done to stop it that also aren’t illegal. Although, I am not above using illegal tactics to rid my premises of vermin, need be… cough… go ahead, tell my mom, lol.

If nothing else it’s testimony to the true character of the individual who does this to others, and for whatever reason they use to justify such action. Big time beta-behavior if ever there was.

There are plenty of “expert” videos/books on how to read/learn body language but they won’t really do you much good unless you saddle up and stop dicking around! Grow a pair and get your ass in the game instead of “spying” from the sidelines!
