I ordered and received the means scented scent of eros and even though the first few days it was great and i even noticed some great results it now seems to have a very bad smell every time i try it soon after it smells like bad bo…
any ideas ??
If there’s no change in the color or clarity of the liquid in the bottle, you have probably just become “sensitized” to the active ingredients: androstenol and androsterone. If it happens, which is rare given the concentrations, it usually takes weeks to months. But if the bottle was somehow contaminated, or stored in direct sunlight, breakdown in the product might have occurred.
Check with at least two other people to see if they detect the bad odor, and please let us know.

I have checked and seems like 2 friends i asked also find the smell very bad, im confident that it has not come under direct sun light at least not since i received it and colour seems to be unchanged, it smells fine untill i aplly some then soon after smell becomes very bad… you think i would have the same results with un-scented version ? 2 things i have not tried is applying to clothing and wearing with my cologne … would that make a difference ? bit dissapointed would love to find a solution as i was really impressed with the results at the start
The only thing I can think of is that your natural production either of androstenol or androsterone is very high, and that adding to it (with the 4mg/androstenol and 1mg/androsterone boosts it into the range where pheromone enhancement becomes aversive – as I found when using 2mg/ml of androsterone ( or in women who were super sensitive to it and similar odors). But since it is not bad until you apply it, you should probably avoid products containing androsterone, including unscented SoE.
Actually, some time back I made a thread, with the exact same name. From my understanding, as was the consensus in the thread, rone breaks down into -none, and it is the cause of the harsh smell.

Application points are important, apply it where you sweat the least and there isn’t a great deal of heat being produced. Other than that, it’s likely the break down of the product itself, just mediate the time it takes through the right application spot.
You can use them, just have to work with them. I myself can’t work with -none without bad self effects. But there are plenty of products without rone, I’d try out a togo of say IG, and see if it starts to smell bad soon after. If it does, it might be your physiology, if not then it’s an issue with SOE.
Where do you have it applied when you notice this?
Oh, also, it could be that the bacteria from your hands caused what was in the packet itself to break down, I experienced this problem myself awhile back, was it the same packet you used at the beginning? (if it was a packet and not the bottle)
So far ive tried neck and wrist and had the same resluts about 1 hour after aplication smell turns bad and i think i might even have od symptoms hedaches etc , all this keep in mind i live in Cyprus which is a very hot country most of the year, and that im applying very little of soe .. last night i barely used one 2 inch swipe on the neck …

Well, if it’s your physiology or the product breaking down due to the conditions, you’ll probably just have to try out a togo of say a rone based product, and see if it starts to smell bad soon after. I’ve never had IG breakdown like SOE has, that should provide you with your answer.

Pheromones are secretions of the body. Naturally before oxidized or introduced to bacteria secretions have a human scent. Some things can make them more stinky then others.
Where you apply for one.
How much natural bacteria you have on the skin. (Sweat doesn’t actually smell like BO its when the bacteria gets at it the stink begins)
SOE comes in a roll on bottle. The bottle top touches they skin. Bacteria gets on the roller and into the bottle. Conversion occurs before it ever is applied. I don’t much care for roller bottles. Doesn’t happen to everyone because we all have different bacteria levels depending on environmental factors and such.
Here a few tips to try.
Use antibacterial soap in the shower. This wont kill all bacteria but it will lessen it.
Try different application points.
Cover with a scent. (apply mones wait 10 minutes for break down and then cover) waiting prevents bleed through of scent.
Headache is not a OD symptom its a sensitivity to scent.
Be sure its a bad scent. Sometimes when we smell something foreign to our own natural body odor we perceive it as bad. Are people saying you smell bad or it is it just your perception of it ?
None of this means you cant wear pheromones it just means you have to make a few adjustments.

Thanks all info is usefull, i think really from what everybody is saying i just need to find a way that works best for me so i need to experimennt a bit, oh do you think then that my existing soe could be already contaminated therefore no point to keep trying with this one ?

If you do not see any visible contamination, it’s unlikely. The di-propylene glycol (perfumer’s alcohol) typically keeps bacterial skin contamination in check, so even if you see things floating in the fluid, it’s likely your own skin cells. I think most people would agree that because the roller application makes the product last longer than a comparable size spray, the possibility of contamination is a fair trade-off. That’s why I asked about exposure to direct sunlight, because that’s the only time I have seen bacterial growth result, and the sunlight/heat was intense (summer in Las Vegas) over a period of a about a week.
