It seems the seduction forum i frequent has really gone downhill after some upgrades to their system. I used to visit seductiondatabase.com quite often but it seems as if no one really posts there very often.
Where do those of you who are active seduction members go for your forum needs. Mystery’s public lounge is overrun by people who found out about it through VH1’s the pickup artist . His private lounge requires you to attend a workshop (thousands of dollars).
If none of you know any good forums maybe we should start one . I have the resources to fund it and the software already in place (we could use the same software as pherotalk actually) the only things that have stopped me are not being an expert (yet) and not enough initial users.
The Old MM company is now run by savoy and Mystery has nothing to do with it. Then of course there is RSD, Mehow, PickUp101, mASF, Juggler, Pick Up Podcasts, Thundercat, Bristol Lair and 100s of others.
Believe me though there are so many out there that membership is just growing off the charts, but the real problem is not active members, but quality members. And then of course you have to consider I never spend very much time on PUA forums anymore, because I get all my info from the place it counts the most: interacting with women.
Oh yeah, cant forget Mike Longs Project Hollywood.
Your best bet is to read mASF and Bristol Lair for content and then just create your own reality of whats important and how it works. Forums are good to share ideas, but when those ideas hinder the users from going out and creating their own ideas then the whole concept is skewed.
I am not saying that is what you will do, I’m just saying another forum is not the answer. I have seen many quality forum members drop off radar, not because they don’t like the forum, because they are too busy “doing other things.” Try to meet up with some locals and start a local forum to share ideas. When my group started there were three of us, now we have well over 100. We actually bring in speakers now to give keynotes.
I tell you this though, its a hell of a lot more fun and educational to hang out with the true masters than it is to read a post by them.
I am not really into the forums for information at this point. I don’t really get much out of dvds and such anymore. I really just like the community aspect.
It’s nice being able to come home and chit chat with others to discuss our ideas and situations. Sometimes friends can be skeptical or less than supportive (most of my friends are diggin the pheros so far).
In your opinion whats the best way to start a lair (or find one). Since im not 21 that cuts me out of the bars and clubs which i feel might play a big part. Whats the best way to meet some of the pros?
I really like sean messenger. Have you seen him?
EDIT::
I checked out bristol layer. They had a link to the Indianapolis Players Lair which i joined up with. I guess i’ll check it out. :].
Hey, SteveO, on the subject of Lairs, is there any sort of network in place? For example, would you know or be able to find out through your lair association if there is a Seattle lair, and what the status is? I’m getting sick of being a lone wolf and was considering looking into the local PUA community to check out what’s going on around here.
I’ve been looking over the forum at the Seattle Lair (one of the links in that list was dead, but the other seems to be pretty current). I’m learning a bit about the scene up here that I never knew. Evidently, there’s a phenomena known as the “Seattle Freeze”, which is a nice PC way of saying girls up here are kind of snobbish. As I’ve never gone out sarging, I never noticed this specifically, but people in general up here aren’t too friendly as a rule. That was a HUGE system shock to me when I first moved up. Back in Georgia, it was commonplace to smile, greet, and even have a short impromptu conversation with strangers you pass on the sidewalk.
I’ll have to wait until after I find out if we’re going on strike to get involved. Sarging takes money, both in the form of spendable cash on hand and getting some decent evening wear. All my money is going into a coffee can labeled “Oh Shit!”
Are you sure your coffee can isn’t labeled “Oh Stripper!”
Hehe :].
The indianapolis players lair hasn’t gotten back to me. It seems like most of them would go to clubs and since i’m only 18 i can’t join in that respect.
Haha… no. I’ve spoken with my friend Stephany (Paradise… as if she’ll ever read this forum) recently, but even that has to take a back seat for awhile. However, if I get any more IOI’s from Tiff, I might be on to something. Thanks to Phya, I’m going to have to test a theory, and then follow up if the theory is proven.
Panda, I feel your sentiments. That’s why some of us here have a local (San Francisco) lair. The regional aspect of it makes it easy to meet with guys and discuss topics that relate to us on a more micro level.
I tend to visit the bigger ones for theory - they have some great theory threads by mPUAs and overarching themes, but actually going out and seeing these in action requires, in my opinion, smaller forums. I have gone out with PUAs from Denver and Vegas by contact them via these larger forums, however. The community is more connected than you may think.
It is always amazing to me how guys appear to be wierd or fucked up and then once they start getting laid, becoming really cool dudes. That’s why I tend not to judge people anymore when I first meet them, however uncool they are.
An often overlooked point. Maybe these guys are acting all weird because they just need a little sexual healing. I wonder if the solution for ‘creepy’ guys is ‘free love’? Sorry, but seriously that’s definitely true. Sometimes a dramatic shift in lifestyle (expectations of a lifestyle, or just getting some) can really change a person.
