Let’s make this the “SHOW YOUR LOVE” thread. If you feel like I do, add a little something here and let everyone know how much you love and appreciate them.
In the six months that I have been around, I have met some of the most incredible people I have ever known, in this forum. And, in my 45 years I have known a lot of people. The camaraderie we share here reminds me a lot of my days i the Air Force.
I have never been into blogs, chatrooms or forums before, but I have never had the privilege of associating with such an incredible group of people either.
Many of you have become like second family to me. Members in the forum share not only their successes, but also failures and heartaches. And, when someones heart is hurting people step in to help, and I cannot EVER remember seeing another member ragging on or telling them to quit whining and get over it.
The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is to check my e-mail to see responses to threads that I’m subscribed to, and it ALWAYS sets the tone for the day to start out great. I am in and out of the forum throughout the day almost every day and have learned more about love and life from you guys than anywhere else.
And, you know what? I know that I am not the only one who feels this way! If you want to show your love and appreciation, or this forum has been a life changing experience for you, then please, take a minute or two and share it.
I agree with Mark - this forum is full of a lot of great people. Like him, I am not into chatrooms or forums. But the combination of a truely interesting subject with some truely interesting people makes this a “home away from home.”
I totally agree with you. Since my membership here in june 2007, my life has had a major dramatic change. I have learned more about just life in general here than I did/would in school/naturally.
There’s always a member here that points you towards something new that helps to change you for the better. Just seeing how y’all respond to new people’s questions and the way yall interact have taught me very much. I wish I could contribute more, but I’m still young and well, money’s kinda a problem .
That’s something I love about this place, money and age are NEVER a factor. I have read many of your posts and interacted with you on a number of occasions. I believe that anybody that has read your posts would agree that you are well repsected, a valuable member, and age has never come into consideration.
You! No you’re awesome!!! You were one of my first friends when I joined here, cowboy. We joined 'bout the same time. I’m quite fond of a number of you.
I even threatened SteveO… and he said it…sounded like fun.
I don’t blog and I don’t chat. Never would’ve thought I’d join a forum…til you guys…
I read the forum for a long time…wanted to see what I was gettin’ into before I joined…what kinda people posted here…I liked what I saw.
I was warmly accepted from the start…facinating, insiteful, funny, respectful and polite…you guys made me feel “at home”…learned a lot here…
and not just about our beloved pheromones…still learning…everyday.

Yep, I think I joined just before you did, and if my memory serves me I think I was one of the ones to welcome you. That or it was the other way around. God, it almost seems like a lifetime ago, with all I’ve learned and all the friends I’ve made. But I remember talking back and forth with you in a number of threads way back in the day. And you, Tisha, SteveO, Inkling, Carrie, GWTW and a number of others were some of the first friends I made here.

Speaking about money, I remember a Turkish mystic/sufi, Yunus Emre, once said 700 years ago - “I take no joy in worldly wealth, nor feel dismay at poverty. I am content with Your love; it is You I need, You.”
But of course the great sufi was referring to God and how “desperate” he was to ‘reach’ God.

I am a member of alot of forums actually and usually have 2 or 3 popped up on my computer at a time but this one is by far the best with the most interesting, fantastic quality people.

I am like Tish.I read and participate in a large number of forums daily. I really love the way this forum is set up & the members are always willing to help us clueless newbies. I particularly like the women’s forum for the mix of happily married ladies. These long term type of people will help me out greatly in the long run.
I’ve only just started posting, and already I have met a lot of very cool and open people. It incites me to be open about my own life, and for me, being a highly private person, that says a lot. To me, this forum is what the world should be like - folks of all ages, races, beliefs and sexual preferences meeting at a humanistic level to discuss and share. Rare and relieving. I am happy to be a part of this.
Well Tisha, when I wrote this thread, I had used 4 drops of A314 and 1 drop of Raw Power, applied approximately 7 hours earlier, cause I had a business meeting and there was going to be a guy there that I really don’t like: overbearingly alpha, cocky and just a jackass, and I wanted to put him in his place. It worked!
Then, not having time to go home and apply a social or 2 to tone it down, I went to Hooters and think I intimidated all the girls there, except for an alpha woman sitting at the table behind me, who seemed to like the vibe I was putting out and we ended up talking.
I’ll second what everybody else has said about the awesomeness of this forum and add another thing. I love the fact that there is such a great variety of people. I think all six continents are represented (Does DHL go to Antarctica?).
On any given log in I might read about someones date last night in the mediterranian, or the latest news from Latvia, the weather in Australia, or learn a beautiful quote from a Turkish mystic. This is an incredible group. To think that what brings us together is a desire to enhance our lives by stinking in the most positive and influential way possible just adds an uproariously funny icing to the cake.
