Senility test

A psychologist had 3 geriatric patients, all with varying degrees of Alzheimer’s, and it was time for their weekly evaluation, which was usually a simple maths question.

To the first patient, he said “George, what is 2+2?”
George furrowed his brow in thought and said “147.”

To the second patient, he said “Bill, what is 4+4?”
Bill thought a moment, then said “Tuesday.”

To the third patient, he said “Robert, what is 5+5?”
Robert gave it a second, then said confidently “10!”

Impressed, the psychologist said “That’s correct, Robert. Can you tell me how you got that answer?”

Robert smiled. “Oh, it was easy, doc. I divided 147 by Tuesday.”
