I just ordered a sample of Secretions Magnifiques by Etat Libre d’Orange - anyone heard of this?

I live in Germany - i have a hard time to find it here, too.

I got my other samples from this shop in London:

they have some fragrances from Serge Lutens - but they don’t have Muscs

and now i search the french shops for Muscs. I try to get a sample from them:

in the US i only found this shop - don’t know if they are reputable:

I got a small decant of Secretions Magnifiques by Etat Libre D’Orange and I just had to write about my experiences with it. I’ve read just about every type of experience with it, from people that considered it bold and interesting, to those who supposidely gagged and had to run for a bathroom. Nevertheless, it sounded interesting. I got the decant today and following the warning that it sticks to you skin for a very long time I decided to spray on a buisness card I found. I let it dry and smelled it after about half an hour to get an idea of how the drydown might smell. Let me tell you that at first I was let down and thought to myslef “this doesn’t smell like sex at all!”. Well I think I might have been to rash. I keep smelling it and other than the sweet notes, I definitely get something strange and funky in the background. It is definitely hard to explain, but I can now see how it might be related to the funk after sex. Thinking about it it gives me a vision of the smell that a girl or maybe your bed sheets might have after a night of wild fun. It is almost like a strong smell of old perfume washed away by female sweat that has began to dry down, salliva from kisses and running your tongue on her body, edible lubricant that you poured a little too much of, and finally vaginal fluids and semen mixed and then wiped from her body. It is almost a "dirty smell’, like a smell you’re self conscious about because you can tell that everyone who passes by you knows exactly what you just did and where those scratches came from! I’m having so much fun with it, almost like I’m doing something innapropriate everytime I’m smelling it! Well I can see where the critcisms come from, but I definitely think the perfumer deserves credit for making a fragrance that is exactly what he is describing! It is a perfume and therefore you can’t expect it to smell exactly like bodily fluids, but the theme this fragrance provokes is exactly what it was intended to do. Would I wear it as a cologne? HELL NO!!! Well maybe one day I feel like it just for kicks, but as a cologne for the purpose of smelling good I think I will pass on this one. Nevertheless this is a fun fragrance to experience. I’d say don’t buy a big bottle of it, but if you can find a sample you have to experience it! Hopefully it will make you blush rather than gag!

Found a new one called

Ajmal Musk Gazelle

Took me a while to get it had to get it imported from the middle east,

supposedly real musk which you cannot get in the US anymore, it is animalistic that is for sure, it comes in an oil not even in a perfume alcohol

Truth is it even turns me on when I smell myself. It does not smell bad like you would think, but damn right sexy and hot a little goes a long way and has a lot of sillage

I bet would smell great on a woman as well

I have a question for you as well since you are familiar with a lot of colognes. I am ordering ammo 2x unscented. I just don’t like the game scent and would like to try one of my colognes in a mix.

Le Male

Polo Double Black. ( I love the scent of this stuff (especially the basenotes) and is one of the longest lasting colognes I have used) Gets good reviews at basenotes.

Armani Code Black (Smells ok but doesn’t last)

Sexual

Tommy Bahama (nice)

Thallium (I get tons of compliments on this but I am not crazy about it.

Any suggestions?

not sure what your question is exactly?

you can take ammo unscented and mix it 5:1 in a an atomizer if you want with any of your favorite colognes I own myself Polo Double Black, and Sexual of the ones you mentioned

Or you can just spray ammo and then cover it directly with any of the colognes you want.

personally out of all the colonges you have listed there I like polo double black, but women will probably like Le male the best

Code Black is very popular with women as well and I enjoy it, although it isn’t necessarily my favorite. Cool water is a very every day scent, not luxurious and a bit juvenile, but I used to love it when I was a teen (a couple of years ago lol). Acqua di gio is ok, but way too many people use it.

Denec, you finally got the musk ghazelle!!! I remember you sending me an article about it and I’ve been trying to get a hold of some ever since. I’ve found other suppliers of cheaper musk gazelle, but I hear it’s the ajmal one that’s great. So I guess it is as good as it sounded, how would you compare it to other musks?

from what i heard all others cannot compare to Ajmal , all others uses synthetic but i never tested any other i am only going but what i read

in fact I really do not have a desire to test any others. Mine only came in at 3 ml. I am not sure how long 3ml will last. It should last a few months if i were to use it everyday. because you only put on a few dabs. But I am going to try and get some more if I can since I love it so much.

Hey, River Agarscents has something similar to what Denec has got. I picked up AGAR MUSK BLACK ATTAR it sounds interesting.
