Heh. That is a tricky situation… you want to play, but…
Men will do anything to impress women… even go to the moon.
I’m also certain a major portion of the economy is driven by mating instincts.
To have, and to hold, you know!

men are schmucks, besides going to the moon to impress them, they’ll even propose to them at christmas and valentines day (valentines day here
)
mating instincts and DeBeers. ironically enough, those two things are responsible for killing more relationships than they’ve started, aaaaaaand they drive the economy on the back side as well, keeping the courts full of attorneys.
That’s only when they don’t know what else to do to bring it to “the next level”.
Marriage almost always changes everything. At least one of the parties, and sometimes both, get a sense that they “own” the other, and that creates come powerful (almost always negative) changes in how you treat the other.
Marriage probably works best WITHOUT a sense of ownership.
When you remember, that hey… this other person is a person, not a possession. That they still belong first and foremost to themselves. Sure, they love me and they’re with me, but it’s out of choice, not because a piece of paper or some sort of verbal contract (vows) force me them to.
When you start using your vows or the legalities, or worse, threat of divorce, in order to create behaviors… and not your natural charisma and joy for each other… that’s when you start running into problems.
You transform from human beings being human with each other, which is a beautiful thing, to mini lawyers or negotiators… which is no way to deal with someone you supposedly love.
Yes, very try!
Man, the economy makes out like a bandit.
Too bad the currency of love sometimes suffers.
probably some of the best advice I’ve herd on marriage..I never really thought of it that way and I know I should have. I think if people were to keep that in mind when they got married it would keep things much better and more stable for longterm happiness.
