Ow. Ow. Everything is so sore.
I hate you, TAF!
I’m not in the best shape I could be. I’m a hair under six feet, stocky build, and a bit overweight. Not obese, or even particularly close to it, but I do pack a few extra pounds. Because of this, I’ve recently started trying to exercise regularly, though it is difficult to fit into my schedule with school and homework. Because my current goal is to lose weight, and not to bulk up, I’ve decided upon a fast-paced aerobic workout involving cardiovascular exercises and martial arts. Due to time constraints, I usually only have about half an hour at a time to exercise, so I aim to wear myself down completely within that time.
Last night, I sat down to read the theory section of the forum shortly after dosing my oil diffusing lamp with a large amount of 25mcg/spray TAF. (I tried this for the first time yesterday using TAF and IS 4x separately, and it seemed quite effective. I’ve detailed that experiment in my thread https://pheromonetalk.com/t/alternative-applications-and-intoxicating-aromas/26596/1.) I was soon caught by several people wanting to talk with me on AIM, as well as a phone call. Despite these distractions, I seemed to have little trouble shifting my attention around and keeping track of all of them. Usually when I’m involved in a number of things, my more intelligent friends notice and ask if I’m preoccupied and need them to leave me alone for a bit. This time, no one really noticed, including me.
After I finished up with all of those things, I started my workout, with the intention of finishing in the usual half hour. However, things did not go as planned. Although I worked at the same level as normal, which usually has me gasping by the end of the period, I merely seemed to become more able as time went on. I found that my current level of activity (one that would normally wear me down) was not enough, and put on some very high-energy music to help me along. At the end of the half hour, I was not tired. My body hardly seemed to notice what time it was. In fact, I didn’t check the clock because I felt that it couldn’t possibly be time yet; I still had seas of energy. When I finally did check the clock, I realized I had been working at this pace for an hour, but my body did not want to quit. I thought about pushing further, and continued at about the same pace for another half hour. At this point, even though I felt I could continue, and was not feeling the level of exhaustion I knew I should have felt, I decided to stop. I had never subjected myself to this level of activity for this long a period of time, and was worried about the consequences.
I am glad I stopped when I did. When I woke up this morning, even though I had a fairly easy time doing so despite only four hours of sleep, I was so sore. My arms, legs, everything is sore. I am going to do a couple of workouts with no TAF and see if I revert to my original stamina level, then try again with TAF. That way, I’ll be sure it’s the TAF and not merely a fluke.
The TAF didn’t seem to have a conscious mental effect on me. Instead, it seemed that it either inhibited signals to my brain to tell me I was exhausted, or unlocked stamina that I possessed but am not normally able to reach. My body did not want to stop, did not seem to even know what stopping was. I look forward to future testing. If anyone has any ideas on what happened, please let me know.
