Socials and Hand Washing

Here’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask: how quickly do the alcohol based sprays wash away with soap and water? I tend to wash my hands regularly throughout the day, and wouldn’t you know it, but that’s where I tend to spray my IShine or Instant Openness! Sometimes I feel like I’m just washing money down the drain.

I guess I could start applying it further up my forearms, but (a) I wear dress shirts at work, which may hide the scent and (b) I’m expressive with my hands, so I like the fact that I’m waving them out there and filling the air with pheros.

Comments?

They wash right off with soap and water so I suggest finding other places to apply,

Why don’t you try spraying your wrist?

yes, They wash away, I tend to apply higher up the arm, more toward the forearm area, than the wrist for this reason. I wash my hands regularly as well, and apply high enough that regular splashing does not occur where my sprays have been applied.

bugger, bugger, bugger. i work in a garage and have been putting shine and openness on my forearms and wrists. i wash both areas alot through the day with a brutal soap. no wonder i wasn’t getting hits.

Yup, if it takes off oil and grease it takes off pheromones,

I suggest using your chest, ears and neck.

i think they are going to be very busy areas.

what about oils, will washing take them off as well as the alcohol carrier pheros?

I do spray my wrist also, as mentioned in my journal. The problem is when I wash my hands, I also wind up washing my wrists. You tend to do that when you make a fist with one hand and put it into the other to wash the back of your hands. So further up the forearm is probably the way to go.

Glad I could help ya. :stuck_out_tongue:

That, indeed, would be frustrating if you didn’t link the two events.

I would think so. It certainly can’t do much good anyway. With the recent rainy season that has now thankfully passed in the UK, I was buttoning up my coat collar at the slightest hint of rain… didn’t want to chance washing away any of the pheros. Of course I had just made a coat-funnel to drive the pheromones up right into my nose… so I got quite phero-blasted with self-effects and all when the weather was raining

I noticed that as well. It can give you a headache if you’re not careful. That’s why I have this love/hate relationship with Ammo right now.

i tend not to spray anywhere that will be affected by sweat or hand washing or computer use. if i didn’t spend a good part of the day on the comp i would gladly spray/oil the inside of my wrists.

as it stands, my main application points due to the above restrictions are the back and sides of my head, behind each ear, bottom of throat area above top button and the insides of my elbows. nobody wears long sleeves in this heat, except of course for the thais who abhor dark skin and will do anything to prevent “taking sun”

Half my day is in business meetings, but my motto is “have laptop; will travel”. Because of this, I’m always on a computer. I’ve found that the spray will stay while I’m working, but wears off after I start washing my hands.

Since I down 12 cups of 12 ounce cups of water daily (thank you Creatine), I generally have to make pit stops along the way throughout the day; hence all the handwashing.

i used to power down creatine as well. i know where you are coming from.

one of the biggest drawbacks for me when using the comp is the wasted space on the inside of my wrists that could have been used for phero apps. i do use my hands quite a bit when talking and will or would always find a way to get my phero app’d hands near a targets smeller but realizing that my wrists are literally motionless on my desk for a good part of the day made me re-assess that app point.

MHarris made some pretty good arguments for hair applications here years ago, what used to go on my wrists has been applied to my hair since then.
