I’m probably overthinking it…I do that…but here’s what happened…I’m a massage therapist and I had to do some seated massage at a white-collar corporation this morning. 15 min, fully-clothed, back/neck/shoulders, no big whoop. I was wearing 1 drop A314 and 2 sprays double-strenth Instant Shine.
About 1.5 hours after application a girl came in to get her massage. I guess she was about 17, she was going to be a senior in high school this fall, and was interning in Human Resources for her summer job. Her blouse was unbuttoned one or two buttons too far, could almost see the bra strap, but whatever, maybe she doesn’t know any better because she’s 17. We’re about 5 min. into it, just chatting about how posture at the computer affects your muscles, when I ask her casually if she’s ever gotten a massage before. First she says no, this is her first one. Then after a pause she tells me “my ex-boyfriend used to give me naked massages”. Um…ok. I treated it as a joke and said my intent was probably different from his. She later goes on to tell me how he was a jerk, and he went away to college, and she wasn’t seeing him anymore, and he wasn’t very good at massage anyway. I changed the subject and we spent the next 5 minutes chatting about other things. We had an easy rapport. I wouldn’t say it was flirtatious, but it was definitely friendly.
So…was that a hit? What was that? I assume she was trying to be funny with the “naked massage” comment. But does anyone else think it’s strange that she would blurt that out to a complete stranger she had known literally 5 minutes? I can’t figure out if she was just young & uncouth or whether this was some sort of weird Shine hit. Thoughts?
