Star Trek Movie (No Spoilers)

Awesome Movie. Highly recommended by me

I’ll be watching it tonight around 8:15PM CST, I am the only one I know who will be working the movie wait line LOL, cube on the run anyone?

This weekend, baby. This weekend.

I cannnnnnoooooootttt WAIT!

I wanted to see it opening night, but sigh the guy I am dating wanted to take me to see it as a date. He, unfortunately, wants to see it Saturday AM… meaning I have to wait 12 hours after it’s out to see it!! Agh!

There was an advanced screening at 7:30 and 10pm last night out here, which a friend of mine went to. Another coworker was highly confused though - she asked why there was an early screening at 7 if it was released on Friday. She could understand a midnight showing, but 7 was too early for her, apparently.

Exasperated, I tried to explain to her that based on time dilation and warp theory, yesterday was already today, and thus it wasn’t really a “pre” release anymore.

That was apparently too geeky for the office. I was ridiculed.

So this morning I came in early and hung all my star trek enterprise blueprints on the wall of my office and set up all my star trek knick knacks.

I’ve been given a wide berth today… of course, it might also be because of the Star Trek shirt I am wearing…

today has been a ghost town at work… it seems lunchtime was the breaking point for waiting too long, then the sound of crickets. it’s been nice and quiet here.

not a big trekkie fan, though.

The back wall of my office and my shirt.
God, I’m hopeless.
I’ve scared many a coworker today…

So (no shit) earlier today our FedEx guy had two seizures at our office while delivering our packages. I’m a medic, so I rushed down there and was treating him. He’s going to be fine, but my Star Trek shirt got a bit of a brow raise from the Fire dept when they showed up.

Now, my coworkers had been joking yesterday about me showing up in a Starfleet uniform today. Not that I would have, but could you imagine how funny it would have been for both the guy when he came back to consciousness and saw a Starfleet officer tending to him, and for the Fire Dept when they rolled on scene. “Uhh, which person hit their head again… ?”

Will you marry me?

-D4

Being married I’m not allowed to comment on other women’s (not my wife) T-Shirts … lol. But nice blueprints … :stuck_out_tongue:

But you are good with us.

I know what you mean Jon. Star Trek, knows how to rappel, a medic for those accidents involving large power tools around the house - getting pretty close to ideal … lol.

So on a whim, I decided not to wait. Found a theater in downtown Seattle that has “rearview captioning” for the deaf and hard of hearing, so I dragged my roomie along. It’s a 57 mile drive from the house. LOL. Great movie. Simon Pegg was awesome, and dammit man, Karl Urban WAS Bones! If I say much more, I’ll end up dropping spoilers

FUCK YES!!!

Awesome movie, just awesome. 10/10 from me.

Okay, so I saw the movie today. If it was even 5 minutes shorter something would have been missing. Delightful from start to end. Loved it. 12/10… and it’s going in the home collection as soon as it is released to DVD.

Diane

Awesome movie. They did a great job.

OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!

What does it all mean!?! Agh!!!

So fantastically wonderful. I will be seeing it again tomorrow. And in all honesty, probably again during the week. Maybe more. :o

Does anyone else hear “…sequel…” or “…new series…” And I totally agree, Bones stole the show. He was amazing. Second only to Spock… no wait… Scotty… Agh!

I need to see it again. Right now.

Yup…

Diane

Hehe… I saw it again tonight. Since this is a spoiler free thread, I will only say four words: Spoiler Deleted By Steve
Those who’ve seen it know what I mean.

-D4

Watched it. No doubt it is a good movie.

Exactly what I was thinking.

How about Spoiler Deleted by Steve :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

You guys need to stop with the scene stuff. Or start your own spoiler thread.

Diane

You’re very right Diane999 and that is why I deleted the material which could be viewed as a spoiler with Spoiler Deleted by Steve

LOL. That’s fine but referencing one line that could mean anything is not a spoiler. Now if I had gone on about what that line was inreference to - now that would have been a spoiler.
