lol ok im going to have to delete that thread. That thread made me out to be a rep whore which isnt what i wanted to be at all lol. Btw how long you been playin guitar
I’ll add my 2 cents because I think some of your reasons are interesting.
Make platonic female friends with no expectations. A huge stigma around pheromones is that people think guys use pheromones as a way to trick females into liking them. Anyone who uses pheromones knows this is not the point of pheromones. They’re more enhancers than anything. Anyway, when you go into conversations with females don’t have sexual expectations. Having good female friends who are just that, friends, can help you understand how females think. This can not only help you with dating, but help you in life understand women in general.
Similar to the musical instrument, which I play for myself and girls think is attractive/fun, is do art. Art gets you into your creative side. It puts you in touch with your feelings. You can also use this to directly enhance your appearance by doing stuff like making your own jewelry (nothing too out there). Take a silver class and make a ring. You’ll meet interesting people and then have a conversation starter whenever anyone mentions your ring. Put decals on your car if you’re into that kind of thing. Or just paint at home for fun and put them on the walls if you want some conversation starters. Tap into it and see what happens.
The anxiety point is interesting, a little out there. I see where you’re coming from and imagine there is some overlap between people who find pheromones and people who have anxiety. I’d recommend you go see a therapist and see if you have anxiety if you’re actually worried about it. Read some books about it. If you don’t think you have anxiety but just occasionally get anxious a healthy and normal amount, learn ways to control it. Breathing techniques, meditations, yoga, etc. Also, see how different products affect your anxiety.
With me, IO makes me pretty damn giddy/anxious. Instant shine makes me feel good but sometimes I get too jokey with people I don’t know well. CTTM2 doesn’t make me nearly as anxious as IO. Adding in A314 or Ammo or IG I come more into my own element. I actually talk way less than I usually would, but am much less anxious it seems. Everything I say I am 100 percent saying, my eye contact is better than usual, and I just feel slightly more respectable. Tuth makes me very serious.
All that being said, I think ammo (and a314) helps me more than most anxiety medicines would when dealing with people.
WoW - good thread!!!
Sadly I play the piano witch is not conveniet to bring into the park while meeting girls for a beer or two.But I have musical culture and recently bought an electric guitar from a friend - nothing special but it’s goot for a start. But the technique of playing is harder then the piano’s.
You can always bring a keyboard hehe. Yeah i thought about about playing the piano too but i just happen to pick the guitar
and ty for the complement. Hey its actually not that hard. Once you get looking into it. There are alot of chords you can practicely play whole songs with. I would highly recommend playing by tab unless you want to learn notes but from what i hear most of these rocker dudes play by tab and just memerize it. Keep me informed on how your guitar playing is going. If theres anythin else i can help ya with let me know and if i dont know cause im still pretty new too ill try and find it out for ya. Its always nice learning with someone else. Good luck man
if you don’t have time to learn the guitar, the ukulele is similar except only has four strings so is exponentially easier. It’s also kind of different which could be good or bad depending on what you’re going for. Strumming patterns are different than the guitar. There are four different types of ukes depending on what you want tenor, bass, etc.
I like the list, some real good info. I’ve been using P90 for the past 2 months.. can’t agree with you more, thats a great workout and you don’t need a gym. Definitely helps lower stress and raise confidence.
Notes do not confuse me because I know them verry well.I have problems with the technique of holding the hand on the strings though but if I take a lesson or two I can manage it and then play some stuff and get better. But now I don’t have much time to practice eighter with all that law I study at my university.Have to read alot of thick books as to pass the exams.:(But luckilly I love Law and this is not boaring but just time consuming. But when I start playing the guitar - I’ll ask you for some help if I have problems. Thanks for the cool attitude, dude.
One thing I highly recommend is using a metronome when you practice, I know they suck but when I started taking lessons from my ex guitar instructor about two or three years ago he made me realize just how important this is and it is. It not only helps you practice scales better, it also helps you learn stuff a lot quicker by forcing you to go at whatever tempo you set it too. It also helps you practice scales in quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes.
Another important thing is also learning at least some basic musical notation and theory, I know it’s boring but it will open a lot of doors of musical understanding. I so wish I had finished taking lessons with him, but I ran out of money then my son was born so I couldn’t continue. You can find videos by him on youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/user/premiermusic
He also offers web cam lessons if you’re far away, a quick search under his name Mark Wein in google.com will take you to his site.
A GREAT book he introduced me too and uses in his lessons is Guitar Fretboard Work Book by Barret Tagliarino. This book is REALLY good and I highly recommend it, it really makes you find your way around the fretboard very easily.
Ok, I know some people swear by meds, but life is tough and sometimes people look for the quick solution without knowing the long term effects. I’ve seen quite a few people become addicts to anxiety meds and not even realize it.
My addition to the list is,
#? Learn another language. I live in S. Fl where Spanish is as common as English. I’ve seen latin women respond positively when you know just a few phrases in Spanish.
I have to agree and somewhat disagree on this. It’s not just about “but life is tough and sometimes people look for a quick solution.” I’m sorry to break it to you, but there’s people who NEED this type of medication… I’m one of them although I just take Lorazepam as needed in conjunction with my own way of dealing with anxiety by making my self try to remain calm. Now offering someone anxiety medication and them not needing them is a different story, but some people DO need it. And when used properly it does make a difference, so I wouldn’t go and say that it’s not good to take period because then I would be lying.
Learn some scales and practice the pattern going up and down the fretboard, moving one fret down everytime you complete it. This is a great way to build up your finger strength as it does not only force you to stretch, but also move and adjust to the different sizes of the frets. Really, learning a few scales and practicing them daily can help improve your playing in all aspects. Should be easy enough for you to do too since you already have background in the piano. Good luck with guitar and your law exams
ok dont know if this is listworthy but I just thought of it.
Get a puppy dog. What girl doesn’t love a cute puppy dog? Ones you don’t want to hit on, that’s who. Ones that you don’t want to be friends with. Ones that own 10 cats but hate dogs.
What guy doesn’t love a puppy dog besides people who are allergic? I don’t know any. Dog’s are man’s best friend for a reason. They give you exercise and happiness.
I’ve read some PUA forums. I read about peacocking with eccentric pieces of jewelry and flashy clothes. Pardon me for not knowing much about it. but imho, shit, just get a puppy. It may be more expensive and time consuming, but the rewards are tremendous. While your sombreros and diamond pinky rings (slight exaggeration) are gathering dust in the closet, your puppy is playing with you.
*Note, before you actually get a puppy make sure you are completely aware of all the commitment and costs associated with a puppy. Maybe you can just borrow your friends for 2 hours once a week and become its’ Godfather. Also, make sure you establish the puppy is YOURS in a relationship so that the girl doesn’t think its a gift and then take it when/if you break up.
I totally agree with you there. Me being one of them i use zoloft as a social anxiety med. I am not the worst person when not on it, but i say i do need it. It makes me feel like well you have heard the expression liquid confidence is to alcohol. Well just think of this as confidence in a pill form. It takes your fear and kind of just pushes to the back of your mind. I consider it a different type of mone. If people think meds are a quick solution. Then you would have to say the same thing about mones.
Np man and sounds like you really are busy. I hope that works out for ya too. Actually what you said should go in the list but i cant really copy anything and repost into it so im gonna say what you said in my words and still give ya credit for it. Ty for the post
So you use Zoloft mainly for anxiety instead of depression? They wanted me to go on Paxil but I’ve had trouble with that in the past which was mainly weight gain. The Ativan/Lorazepam is just for anxiety (sedative) but it works great, and I haven’t had any type of addicted behavior with it. I can easily take it just as needed, helps greatly especially ever since my mom passed away in May. Helps to soften the blow a bit.
yeah zoloft is great for anxiety. They say lower doses of it is for depression and the higher doses is for social anxiety. I think it works great. I would of tried something else but i like where im at with this. so i figure why fix something that isnt broken lol. believe me im a person that is not depressed. and also a person that is not to waste money.
