Suggestion for enhancement of Phero reports.

Greetings and whatnot,

Although I may be fairly new here, I feel as if I have an idea that may help enhance the effects of user-posted reports on this forum. Without anything further, here it is:

I suggest that the forum ‘Powers that be’ consider implementing a “Personal Profiling” feature. To elaborate, I believe a simple system of allowing users to fill in personal information (Neither required nor too personal) will allow others to compare their personal make-up to that of the reporters. From the perspective of a new member, I see that I am always looking for somebody “like me” when looking for Phero reports. In a logical sense,

Person 1 experiences effect Z with Phero combo X and reports it.
Person 2 discovers that they are similar to Person 1, both physically and Cognitively.
If person 1 is similar to person 2, then person 2 could ALSO experience effect Z.

If anything, this ability to contrast and compare could provide a basis for new and old members alike to build a basis of knowledge for their own Phero experiments. And knowledge, my friends, is a very wonderful thing to posses.

This advanced profiling could be located under the member profile, if possible. This would allow the system to be universally accessible. It makes it EASY to use! It could include slots for various aspects of physical makeup, age, Blood type, various aspects of Cognitive makeup, and maybe even their typical daily environment! These bearings would also help those continuing Phero research in the process.

I’d be more than willing to help develop a system such as this if any one were to find it practical!

Many thanks,

-Trent

Another Add-on could be a feature that is basically a Hot button that a person can press while making a post/thread that simply pastes their entire ‘Personal profile’ into the post. I’ve seen this done on a few separate forums and it is quite handy!

Good idea.

Some people want to retain their anonymity, so perhaps the categories could be general in nature. For instance instead of age just teens, 20s, 30s, etc.

Good idea, but this has the possbility of becoming much too complex to be practical (or easily utilized without some study of the human body and it’s functions) or risks being overly simplified (age, height, weight, blood type, etc…) with general categories that may, or may not have any relevance to phermone usage.

So far, from what I’ve seen, sexuality and the way it manifests is a uniquely individual process, and even people with similar cultural backgrounds, biological backgrounds, etc.. may not react the same way, or wear the same mix the same way. So if we can make patterns, what patterns will prove relevant (or accurate enough) for us to make generalized phero recommendations?

Schell-somenumber on here proposed an interesting idea on sorting pheromones with personality on a myers-briggs scale. I don’t think’s posted any results yet though. You can find it in the Pheromone Theory section.

Very interesting indeed.

I agree with GwtW and Phya here though also. Too basic information and it does nobody any good and then too much info and anonymous goes out the window. Maybe it could be voluntary participation.

I’ll bring this to Jasmophonics attention.

I was hoping to get more results before posting results…The results will only be as accurate as the individual test though. Sometimes people have trouble distinguishing a natural preference from a learned one…that can be where the online test without the guidance of trained tester can fail.

I put something up late next week and see where it goes from there.

In a way we have that already. Its all in the User Profile.

Look at how many people actually fill in there profile, while your ideal would make it easy to find someone who is like you, I dont feel many people would bother to use it.

I believe this has been experimented with already with inconclusive and inconsistant results. Hopefully Schell will make more progress because I think there are some pro’s and cons to it as well as misconceptions.

Personality could be a indicator of which pheromones you will feel comfortable wearing but not which ones that will work for you best. Like TAH and TAL you feel better in one or the other because it match’s your personality more but both work for a majority of users. Countless users who have said I am a TAL girl also love MX135. MX135 is TAH based. Personality of the person exposed to the pheromones will have more of a impact on your results then your own personality.

Your own personality will only effect your ability to make the pheromones works to your advantage.

I feel thats the misleading thing when it comes to pheromones and the Meyer Briggs testing. Yes the results of the test will tell you what pheromones you may prefer wearing and what your attracted to but that is not the purpose of pheromones. The trick is to find what will effect others well. After years of experience with pheromones I have discovered what works well on certain people and why and there is some consistency with personality type. Problem is we cant limit ourselves to coming in contact with the same types everyday. So I dont think it would be helpful for the general use of pheromones.

However…

I am not saying that it should not be tested or typed because there are instances where the information will be useful and that is for those of us who have a specific target. Then I feel the information schell is working on will be quite helpful in getting the reaction we are looking for as long as we have a general knowledge of our targets personality.

Yeah my personality changes with my underwear.

No wonder. I just thought you had multiple personaility disorder. :stuck_out_tongue:

Does tht mean when you go commando you have no personality?

Thanks for the responses!

What I meant by “(Neither required nor too personal)” was what was brought up in one of the responses. Basically, the user can input what they are comfortable with - if nothing at all even.
