I want to pose a question and suggest an experiment regarding MMA training. Bosshank, I know you are involved in martial arts and there are some other members in the forum that might have an experienced opinion also. I have never and will never wear any extra -none products to class, but I am considering an experiment with some socials.
Since TAL seems to be regarded as a female type pheromone and gives off a comfortable female vibe on men without -none, how do you think this would work at martial arts?
I am wondering if I wear some TAL during a sparring session if it might give me an edge against my competition in the fact that he may be afraid to “hurt” me and would avoid hitting me because of the perception that he is fighting a female. Now I’m sure that he will not avoid hitting me all together, but I am betting that he may use less force or hit less frequently.
During belt testing at the end of each month we spar against other members of various higher belts of my class for 1 minute each. This is “supposed” to be at full speed, but 50% force. As you can imagine, the natural -none being thrown out at this time is amazingly high and it becomes very aggressive very quick. Some of the hits I have taken have been at full speed and 100% force.
I think that I could gain the edge in this situation by getting in more hits on my higher belt ranked opponents by giving off a female vibe.
lol you might wanna try Tah or Est if that’s what you’re going for, Tal gives off the “she-woman” vibe, a girl that can hold her own. Tah gives off the more soft, feminine vibe, and Tater says that high amounts of Est makes people protective/caring around you.
I agree with Karmiel about TAL and TAH. I have some doubts about EST in this context, but it might be worth a try. I had a hetero male ballet dancer get really uptight with me while wearing EST and just friendly male touching him - like patting him on the shoulder or putting my arm on this shoulders, as I recall.
I am thinking it will have the opposite effect myself, He consiously knows your a man. He is also consiously aware that your there to fight him. He wont have the perception he is fighting a female. More likely he will look at you like a girly man which will probably give him more confidence going into the match.
I think it would be a interesting test though. If you do it let us know how it go’s
I couldn’t possibly agree with tisha more on this one. If you want to try and negatively affect an opponent, consider out “none-ing” them. You either intimidate them, or piss them off and they attack you more aggressively. Either way, you have better odds than tal and relying on long antiquated notions of chivalry. While I don’t speak from experience, there are a number of reports that say tah can increase “ditziness.” Just a guess, but reduced focus might be a bad thing when people are attacking you…
What would really be interesting is searching through old posts (specifically some like tacitus’s) that involve pheromones that boost concentration/focus. I think that would be a fun test to see if that would boost performance.
Do not try this! TAL definitely immasculates you. He knows your a man so if you release weakness I bet it will trigger a more predatory response from him. Have you tried androsterone for this purpose? I don’t think he will want to beat up a respected old man.
I would consider trying Instant Gentleman and/or A314. Maybe you would get more respect and your opponent may get the sensei vibe from you and be more afraid. I would think you might get a self effect from the other pheromone and fight like a girl. What about Instant Jerk? I’ve only used A314 from the above. I do work with a couple of young bucks who think they’re boxers. They’ve always respected me, they know I’ll knock them on their butts, but now with A314 they seem to have a deeper respect and never talk any trash.
I studied many different martial arts for over a decade and there were times I would have like to have had an edge on my opponents. My sensei would always put me up against the biggest and meanest dudes in the dojo. At the time I was more known for my jump spinning crescent kicks and front round house than my “big guns”. Let us know what you end up doing.
The only thing I use in martial arts is A314. It has a little 'none but it gives you the alpha vibe thing. I get a lot of respect from fellow students AND the instructor. Seems to give me a LOT of latitude with the instructor who is younger than myself. A little late? Who cares. Want to try something different? Great, lets go for it. Does not mean they don’t come after me but they don’t talk trash, they don’t pull BS stunts, and they may be a little cautious. Which means a little slower. Plus the instructor will go into detailed demonstrations and give me a little more one on one even in a group setting.
Tisha and m3turbo are probably right about the girly man thing - your overall value in the eyes of the class would go down. Don’t become the butt of the standing joke in a martial arts class. It would be like Middle School Hell all over again. If it was your first time in there, it might give you the element of surprise. Come across as a girly man at first, fight like THE man. But it would only work once.
Considering they know you there I think TAL would only lower you in their eyes subconsciously.
Scaro makes a good point about concentration. I have never tried TAF going into training but might once. I will let you know. Don’t want my concentration scattered when the instructor sends one my way …
OK. 10 mcg dose of TAF 10 minutes bfore 1 1/2 hours of MMA type training: first 1/2 hours is kickboxing next hour is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Very good concentration with kick-boxing. Instructor calls out combinations. I only make 1 or 2 mistakes. VERY high intensity at first. We are flying through the workout. Too high intensity - I actually start to wear myself out - had a very physically demanding weekend. Outdoors. Mountains. Hiking, Climbing. Snow. Ice. You get the picture.
Hard to tell with the BJJ. It is lower intensity and by then I have sweated up a storm and probably sweated off a lot of the TAF.
I have tried the same thing running. Almost same effect. Increased concentration as first. Decreasing as you go along - probably due to sweating off the TAF.
Very interesting Boss, so in your opinion using TAF is good for a sport requiring concentration. What other pheromone would have the same self effects?
Well all sports I have ever played require concentration. I would guess the problem would be sweating them off.
I have never specifically dosed for sports for that very reason - you sweat them off or out after a certain point.
I really don’t know of any other pheromone that really helps specifically with concentration. usually you are getting into food supplements for stuff like that.
Dont be a wuss. Stand tall trust youre skills and do what needs to be done in the ring.
remember anything worth hitting once is worth hitting four times. Mix your tricks and keep moving. Superfoot Wallace won 62 out of 63 world Championships using just side kicks delivered in different ways but sidekicks non teh less.
