hi.
at fragrancex.com
they sell testers for cheaper then brand new colognes.
At the site it said, testers might not have lid or in the original box, but are 100% full.
which i have a hard time believing 100% full because…its a tester, unless they refill or dilute it.
have anyone bought testers before?
what did you get?
whats your opinion?
if from a different site please include the site, like parfum1.com
thanks

I have never bought a tester before but I’ve noticed that most cologne/perfume bottles these days have lids that can’t be removed without damage. I’m not sure if they could be refilled or diluted easilly outside the factory. A factory wouldn’t dilute their own product i think. I would just inspect around the cap for tampering…

I have bought a tester of GIT from Fragrancex and it was full and fine just as they describe it. Testers are not used bottles that they are trying to get rid of. They are usually packaged from the maker to go out to licensed dealers as “Testers” hence the lack of a lid and fancy box.
Online retailers like FragranceX manage to get hold of old stock of these products to sell cheaper and you get a good deal as long as you do not mind not having the cap and proper box. You can always tell if a new cologne bottle has been used as you have to prime the pump before use. The first few sprays nothing comes out and usually on the third pump you get a spray.![]()
Thanks!
i know about the primeing and stuff, i just thought they were depo modles they trying to get rid of ![]()
cool stuff

Testers are a-ok, they can just be a pain to travel with when you don’t have a cap. When it comes to Creed, though, it’s well worth it - you can find deals online for pretty much half off or more on Creed testers.
I used to buy many tester cologne from fragranceX.
There are many benefit buying tester, some of those in my opinion are:
- Same quality as the original version, IMO the designer will not make a lower quality tester, but good quality original version, because their sale point is on these testers.
- Just same Designer’s fragrance as original version
- Much cheaper, save a lot of bucks each time I order colognes.
- Some come with cap and/or box, some not. Or some just the same as original, but they contain text as Demonstration or tester on the box/bottle.
- FragranceX is online store, so when they bought fragrance from their suppliers, they come together with tester (which might be free for them IMO, or maybe at a very low cost), so they are not using those testers at all in such online store. Then why not deciding to sell it at a low costs.
FYI: Tester mostly are printed as NOT FOR SALE on their boxes, but online can still sell it without any problems.
hope this could give u some hints.
