Thank you ladies. It is really refreshing to hear that after years of hearing … well you know. Not from my wife mind you. she seems to enjoy reminding me I am a pig from time to time. Oink Oink. LOL.

Well I do not know about enslave, but wives/SOs want to know that certain areas of their lives are secure. Things like you are not sleeping around, blowing the food and mortgage money on crap, etc.. And that is only natural. That does not mean women do not trust you - unless you give them a reason not to. But in a strong relationship there needs to be a fair amount of tranparency in your life to let her know she is secure in those critical areas. A lot of guys take a woman’s quest for that transparency for control. And if women do not think they have that transparency they sometimes act in ways men sometimes consider “controlling” trying to achieve that transparency and security.
But you are right about the fact that women also want a guy with a backbone who can stand up for her and take care of her and the family as needed. Read the above comments by the ladies.
It really gets into the definition of what you call a Man.
