Hello PheroTalk Community!
True to form, I’m new here and looking to introduce myself in a super fashion in order to receive a $25.00 gift certificate towards more of these amazing things we call pheromones. I’m a fan, should that not have come across.
My name is Kage (nickname). I am a female, which I feel needs to be said since my name tends to imply otherwise (but really, it’s a small requirement of the forum). I was born and raised in the Midwest where I still live. I like the four seasons that the west coast tends not to fully provide.
On to why I am here and my story:
I stumbled across this forum when I was in a deep panic when I learned that my usual pheromone was seemingly discontinued. I’m not sure exactly how I learned about pheromones, but I did…a lot of years ago. I actually purchased a small silver rollerball of perfume from a well known lingerie store (Victoria’s Secret, heard of it?) that claimed to have pheromones that would make the opposite sex much more attracted to you. Goes without saying, I didn’t hesitate to grab it and run to the checkout as fast as my teenage legs would carry me.
That evening, I tested the popular store’s claim by rolling on a generous amount before a large house party. I actually forgot that I had it on for a while until I began to notice how much fun I was having…mainly because I was getting SO much attention. It worked. I can’t say if I felt more confidence and that alone caused the attention or if the product had actual pheromones in it, but all I know with this hindsight, is that I was sold.
Afterwards, the store stopped selling the product. Yep, I was devastated. Then, I forgot about it quite frankly because this was before internet searches directed you to any need possible. But then, years later, I remembered that little silver tube of confidence and decided I wanted to check out if products including pheromones existed. To my relief, they did. I actually researched a lot and found that many products will claim to have pheromones, but actually will not. Big surprise that someone would falsely advertise on the internet for their own profitable gain. Ha!
After much research, I located a product with what seemed like credible endorsements and claims. I obviously knew how easily that could be staged, but I decided I needed to start somewhere. The pheromone cologne website was, as most are catered towards the man, but they had a section for a woman’s pheromone perfume, so I purchased it just to test it out.
The perfume was not too offensive in smell and even had a light perfumy smell that could be easily paired with my usual perfume. Long story short, I got attention. Lots. And respect from women around me. Sold, sold, and sold…again. I continued to purchase the product and even got on an auto ship of three bottles at a time until recently. I went back a month or so ago to discover that they had seemingly discontinued the women’s perfume!! They only sold the men’s. And here enters my panic. I relied on that stuff to affect the people around me. Wrong? Not at all, it’s science and primal and in my book perfectly acceptable.
Panic all set in I began Googling like a mad woman to find the above mentioned product (I didn’t want to reinvent the wheel if the product was working for me) and found a thread on PheroTalk describing these different types of pheromones.
I am now fascinated with the fact that pheromones come in all different forms. I continue to be fascinated by this as I learn more from this site. I’m new to the experimentation and won’t fully attempt just yet until I’ve spent many more hours on this site. I’m currently satisfied with the idea that there are not only “sexy” pheromones, but many more including happy (shine)! Super! You can customize a reaction and I can’t imagine something more fun ![]()
There it is. I’m one month (possibly less) into this pheromone ‘testing.’ I have so many questions but mainly I’m concerned (and have actually wondered this for over a year now) about over usage.

My question is: Since there are so many different pheromone types you can purchase (Sexy A, Sexy B, Shine, etc.) is it possible or even probable that you can overuse (i.e., overspray yourself or use too much) and become the opposite of the intended reaction?

To be more clear, if you were to DOUSE yourself (why would you but for examples sake) in Sexiness, would you then become offensive to others and thus make them want to get away from you?
Thanks so much for taking a read of my Introduction. I look forward to checking out everyone else’s posts!!
