IMHO, it’s just okay, and my sniffer must not be very differential because I can only pick up the cover not the underlying scent

I like it,
with my body’s chemistry there’s a sweet syrupy smell that it gives off upon dry down. I believe the TAA is responsible since mx203 has a similar oder when it drys.
How do you get it customized with a different cover smell than neroli? Do you have to pay extra? Thanks!
Easy. First you buy your instant Shine. Put it in your cart. Then over on the left hand side of the screen in the menu, you can see “Custom Additions.” Click that, then “Women’s Fragrance Customization.” It looks like chocolatini and instant shine are the default options. So all you do now is click “Add to Cart!”
It does cost extra. You pay $15 on top of the Instant Shine cost. You have to get a full size bottle of it too. No customized togos. And it takes longer for Androtics to make it for you. So you will have to wait longer.
Still. It is really fun to customize your products, and worth it in my opinion.

Hah, I just tied up the “live in my nose” vote with the “allright” vote. I like the smell of IS and it makes me feel pretty good. However after an application i was in the car with my buddy and he was like what’s that smell? You smell wierd? and i was like no? but he insisted so i then explained that i had chilli and light beer earlier to play it off (as i havn’t told him yet about my experiments). He then said "yeah that’s it, chilli and beer. I’m pretty sure i didn’t still smell like chilli and beer as it had been a while and i didn’t have that much and i had pretty recently applied the IS. Also we were in a car before he said anything. So i guess my buddy doesn’t really like the smell either.
I personally love the smell.idk what scent it is but it has such well i could only describe it as a clean smell. to me it smell like a fresh clean scent.(I’m a suck for these kind of scents).I hate that the smell dies down after it settles and dry.that why i cover it with my favorite cologne Creed silver mountain. similar clean smell =]
Very interesting thread. I’m also curious how you can go from cat piss to fresh clean smell. The poll should be redesigned.. instead of a scale of smell good to spell bad, there should be categories for what it smells like to different ppl (urine.. onions… citris scent.. laundry. etc).
It really doesn’t matter what it smells like to me, but if 5% of the population out there says it smells like cat piss, and it really does, it would be risky wearing it to even work or class wouldn’t it?
i think it smells ok, but there was one or two occasions when people i was in a taxi with after applying 2 sprays thought i was stinky cologne guy.

For months now I’ve looked at the title of this thread and thought there was no need to browse this as I thought it made no sense at all. How on earth could someone suggest the smell of Instant Shine was controversial? I’ve always thought it was good smelling, and I still believe this to be true.
Until I had my first a-ha moment which had me thinking back to the topic of this thread a few days ago…
I was in an overcrowded small room with 10 other men the other day as I was required to be a witness for a document that was being signed by 3 of the men in there. I was sitting on a lounge at the back of the room. There was an older man, probably in his 60’s, sitting right next to me on my left. When the signing of the documents were finshed, the old man to my left quickly got up and walked away. It felt like he was in a real hurry to get out of there. As he walked off all he could say was “it’s that smell” as he walked out of the room. No-one had broken any wind at the time, and the only thing I could think of at the time that he could possibly be commenting on was the 4 sprays of Instant Shine I’d applied 10 minutes earlier. After all, I was sitting on his right, and there was only a wall on his left hand side.
So maybe it does have some kind of unique funk after all, only detectable to a few though, as most people I know agree the smell of Instant Shine is quite pleasant indeed.
has aanyone ever smelled raw taa? that would help answer the question.
I do smell pheromones in shine, just not pissy, very hard to explain perhaps scalp. Yes it smells a little bit like scalp.
I have TAA oil and I don’t smell it at all. The smell of Instant Shine gives me a headache.
I wish I could buy taa oil, but it’s not available right now, shucks!
the first time i wore shine did smell pretty bad, like piss. i think the girl next to me moved away because of that.
i tried other times but the smell seems to vary depending in what part of my body i spray in
or is it hydration or good physical condition? maybe the onions I eat sometimes? or good/bad diet?
i think is possible that the smell of shine does reacts with whatever your body sweats naturally
i like the smell of shine. it seems natural. i like honesty and a bunch of others i’ve tried. my problem is i put it on, i smell it, and then wind up whiffing it all nite and probably O.Ding because i can’t get enough of the aroma. i have a friend who gets horny when he walks in to Petsmart and smells the smells. honest to god, his wife says she knows they are having sex after Petsmart. i guess everyone has their own favorite senses no matter what they are.
I just tried IS for the first time and find it smells rather pleasant sorta “citrusy” but idk for some reason I have a slight headache in the back of my head where it meets my neck, which occurred about 5-10 min after application (over my head, sprayed down onto my hair, which is medium/long)
btw this is my first time trying pheros except pherlure but that doesn’t count) so I’m not sure exactly what it could be, its not too bad but a lil annoying
