How many of you have gotten emails from your long lost cousin in Nigeria who has passed away and left you 4 billion dollars. All you need to do is send $1200 to retrieve it.
That stuff gets automatically delegated to my spam box, but I do check my spam from time to time (real emails occasionally slip in there by mistake) and have seen them.
Like digging through the trash, I’ll have to dig through my spam box and try this
Okay, after reading this stuff in more detail, I don’t have the technological or computer expertise to pull off the fake passports and airline tickets, etc., so I will just have to content myself by reading the extremely amusing sets of communications between the scammers and scammees
I got one a couple weeks ago, that somehow escaped my spam filter in my Hotmail account, from a woman with a sob story, suggesting she needed someone to help take care of her.
Btw, it was addressed to me as “Mr. Jennifer”…Do they not know that Jennifer is a female name, I mean, the English in these emails is not overly terrible
I emailed back, simply asking “Where did you get my email address?”, and got a reply that even included a photo! She was dressed pretty nicely too, didn’t look too much like a poor orphaned medical student to me, lol.
This person obviously thinks I’m a man, LOL.
I’m almost tempted to try this scam-baiter stuff (yah, like I don’t have enough to do already ), but I’d have to come up with a good plan.
Any thoughts on this? (Damn you Steve, damn you damn you damn you )
