How could one become the CEO or something of such nature of a large company in today’s world?
My dream career, which if I can plan out well enough will become a reality, is to be a man in charge. The guy at the top. CEO of a bank or the sort. But how does one get to that position?
Actuaries have in the past been promoted to high up positions (insurance companies), so one method might be to have the credentials and experience needed in the position and to really shine at what you do.
I need the steps =P Help me plan my takeover of the world.
P.S. I’ve already got one unfair advantage pheromones.
P.P.S. Might take a while for anyone to read this, you’re probably all over at my other post, reading the Orgasm Black book I uploaded
I personally don’t see the worth in it myself. That’s not to say you shouldn’t go for it. I see a lot of let-downs and disappointment. There are always those that sell you a dream, the big picture and its unfortunately only their big picture and they have no plans for you in it. Well except your hard-work, sweat, years of service, loyalty. They pitch team work and lots of other buzz words but that’s all they are, buzz words. I have so many good friends all disenfranchised with their jobs. That is if they even still have them.
Your best bet is to do the best you can, but understand you are doing it for you. The greatest reward will be the understanding that you made a difference. Strive to build your own company and fill it with people much like yourself. Exactly as Zappos was like. I’m not sure anymore since they sold it to Amazon, but they were like that anyway. Its hard to say they really didn’t care about the money when they sure made a lot of it by selling it.
Some successful companies are built on the dreams and desires of its owners to make a difference. Others are built on lack of trust, greed, bad deeds and all that comes back to those people. WalMart was started with the best of intentions and then Sam died. Now its all about greed and screwing their workers. It’s a sad state for business, but the best way to get to be a man in charge, is to be in charge of yourself. World domination through helping others by providing the very best possible services you can. Adding value to life, in all its forms.
Companies are built on the backs of their workers and they might show you a happy oh we’re the best and nicest face, all the while they are stepping on the very people that make that happen. Again WalMart is an example. My advice is to start your own business and take charge of your own life.
