I’ve been checking out the above-metioned DVD (produced by the good ol’ boys at AMP) recently. Initially bought into it because it looked like a pretty novel take on the study of inner game/non-verbal communication. That it came most highly recommended by both DeAngelo and Zan didn’t hurt, either (though I know that doesn’t necessarily mean much, as in-community props are traded like bubblegum cards or “momma” jokes).
Neither did the fact that it was free.
But so far, I’ve found the concepts discussed and overall approach outlined to be really thought-provoking - the focus on what you’re communicating physically, emotionally, energetically, etc., just by standing there and how to correct/modify that impression through awareness…the idea of “cultivating presence”…that’s really of interest to me. It does get a little airy-fairy at points. Just a little. And I wish I knew how to actually apply what they’re talking about. But the angle seems cool.
Have any of you - SteveO, P-Quirk, mindset, or other resident scholars of seduction - seen what these guys have to offer? I’d be curious to know what you think of them and their material.
Funny that you mention it, because I just thought I should check it out. It sounds like it would be on par with ‘The Power of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle. I suggest reading that book if you haven’t already for an overview on transforming into the here and now. The Peaceful Warrior is also an excellent film to compliment the aforementioned book. The concept is old, but these two pieces of work, along with AMP should give you a foundation to work with (even though I haven’t checked AMP myself, this is what I have heard from others who have).
Reps Holmes. You are right these do come across as airy-fairy at times. $17 for s/h isn’t exactly free either . It certainly was interesting but still wasn’t exactly what I’m looking for. I would like to find something, be it book, ebook or dvd which shows you exactly how to stand, move etc. Sometimes you could see the change in posture etc. in these guys and to do it naturally is great, but I think practicing exact moves and stances would be helpful too.
