Two great dates wearing Instant Honesty, then he didn't call back: what now?

Help a girl out.

I meet a very nice guy went out with him one evening at the end of the date he ask if we could have lunch the next day, we did. At the end of that date he ask when we would see each other again I said maybe later tonight he said ok. I said I’ll call u at 8, I did and he didn’t answer nor has he returned my call. He showed me all of his toys, too me to his company, told me all about his earnings, new business deals and his future plans etc he is very well off. ( I was wearing honesty)

He gave me a ton of compliments and we kissed a couple of times. We had a balance conversation. I don’t get it. Should I continue to call or next him?

Interpertation please?

I know your looking for a mens perspective but maybe something came up and he cant get back to you right now. Did you leave a message ? Give him a little time ( a day or two) and then give him a casual call if he hasnt contacted you.

Tisha

just be busy doing your own thing for the next 24-36 hours. wait for him, sounds like he is probably busy doing the work thing.

while the IH probably did play a large part in his status display, he might also be pretty insecure in spite of everything that he has.

two insecures don’t make one secure. be confident and assured and only good can come out of this, whether it is with him or not.

Do not get clingy - he may have felt he opened up a bit more than expected so he is assesing the situation. Best thing is to be casual and not push - but do follow up in a day or two.

ok, I just need to quit getting so anxious and breathe. I want to e-mail him but I’ll just slow my roll.

Thanks Tisha I appreciate any an all input. I’m noob on the market, again.

Give him a couple days. He may well be a work-a-holic which means you will always take second place. Be ready for that if that is the case.

Leave him a message. Call back after a couple days. If you do not hear from him … let it go.

That would be my suggestion.

But give him the benefit of the doubt, I had an experience with a first date, where we had a great time. Then later that evening my modem got hit by lightning, so I had no access to phone or internet for almost 3 days. I did get in touch with her and let her know I was alive, but she was to the point of “he’s gone, yet he was so much fun” She had come to the conclusion I was stonewalling her.

He is definitely a work-a-holic. He has a huge deal on the table today and I know he’ll be working it from 8am til 9pm. I want to send him a sweet text of well wishes but I’ll refrain.

Do you all think it would be a good idea to try contacting him in 2 days?

If he says he is busy or doesn’t answer the fone, then I’ll give up.

I think you have the answer in front of you,
Personally when starting a relationship it takes second seat to things I already have planned.
A big business deal to him would be slightly more important to him than a relationship at this point. I would cut trail and run if that does not change after a short period of time though. This is because workaholics tend not to be good relationship people, and even poorer family or father figures.

A sweet text would ensure you are on his mind, or even a simple wish of luck and hope that all is going well.

Sounds like a plan to me - give him a couple days and contact him again. And like you said - if he says he is busy or does not answer, let it go.

he called again, a couple weeks later, sigh.
