Unexpected (but happy) side effect...

I have Rosacea. That embarassing blushed look combined with acne on the face. I have tried EVERYTHING to treat it. Nothing seems to do much, including prescription medications.

Having said that, I noticed that on days that I would wear certain pheromones, my complexion seemed to clear up. I wasn’t sure which was doing it until I narrowed it down to Instant Shine. I found out that just wearing 1 spray of Instant Shine to my neck seems to improve my complexion. The redness is gone within half an hour of my spraying it. The acne takes longer but it too disappears. Wild.

I’ve spent the last few days before today testing my theory and I am amazed. I’ve upped the dose to two sprays and it seems to clear it up faster. The effects seem to last about 12 hours for me. It also seems to be cumulative. Even though my complexion starts to get red or blotchier after 12 hours it isn’t as bad as it was. It seems to be gradually improving over the last 4 days, even after the Shine has worn off. Never thought the answer to my complexion would be TAA.

Gotta go to the store and buy some 4x Instant Shine for every day.

Sounds great, have you tried Accutane for the acne? Thats what finally kicked mine.

Wow, that’s interesting. I have mild-moderate acne, which isn’t too bad, but because I have light skin, my acne makes my complexion red. I will have to get some instant shine to improve my complexion. Keep updating your results!

Wow that is amazing. I am happy its helping you. I wonder why.

Did a little result and its said people with rosacea had elevated levels of the peptide cathelicidin and elevated levels of stratum corneum tryptic enzymes.

Maybe the Ishine molecule is putting something in balance for you.

They also say that its a neurological disorder resulting from hypersensitization of sensory neurons.

Since mones have a effect on sensory neurons its highly likely it could help.

You should try some Straight TAA and see how that works for you. It would be interesting to find out if it can really help this condition.

Tisha

I’ve tried everything to get this under control. Nothing really works to my satisfaction (due to more factors than just getting rid of the redness/acne).

When I get a few more bucks I am going to buy some straight TAA and see what happens. Any doseage suggestions?

You said you have tried everything, but try this. It doesn’t involve expensive over-the counter products and chemicals

I’ll have to check that out. Thanks!

It seems like a rigorous regimen, but it really works. But if anything, just making simple changes such as cutting sugar (toxins), incorporating green/superfoods into your diet (bowel movements eliminate toxins), and keeping your liver healthy will work wonders for your skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body, and acne comes from within, so you have to treat it at the root of the problem.

Here are some quick links to the liver’s relationship to acne.

So I have been using the Instant Shine for a while now (1 spray 1x below each ear on my neck) and I can safely say that even if I go a few days without any other pheros, my complexion stays clear. If I go a day or two without the shine (other pheros or none) my complexion goes back to what it was.

I am going to continue to use the instant shine even if I don’t get the ‘happy’ effect I used to just because it seems to work really well and is an easy way to clear things up.

To Snoop,

I’ve been reading a lot lately about Chinese medicine and blood flow, during so I accidentally stumbled upon this article and found it interesting and relevant to this thread: Progesterone for Men

I understand that Progesterone is produced by both men and women, but is produced in much higher quantities by women. Seeing as how most men here tend to wear higher concentrations of TAA than the women here it would seem odd if TAA was indeed Progesterone. However:

Still I would be surprised if TAA was indeed progesterone, and therefore more abundant in women. Anyway, thought I’d let you know about progesterone and how it’s effects are reported to be beneficial for complexion.

I get that redness too around my nose and some parts of both sides of my face. I definitely feel your pain on that one. I know you say prescription doesn’t work for you but anyway when I get redness I wash the afflicted area with Ketoconazole shampoo and it helps over the course of a few days using it once in the morning and once at night. For me though the redness comes on when I spend too much time in the sun, don’t clean my face for a while, eat nuts, or sometimes something in my diet makes it flare up. A product that has AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) can also help the complexion if used sparingly when the occasion of redness arises.

I’ve had this redness problem ever since middle school so its taken me a long time to combat it and keep it under wraps. Most of the time now its not a problem anymore though.

Thanks for the info Wildflower. I wonder how I would get some progesterone.

Have you talked to your doctor about using Progesterone cream? Might ask about possible side effects.

My doctor isn’t the type to give me things I talk about. It’s alright though man. Combination of prescription, diet, sunscreen usually keeps my face under control.

wow, that’s really interesting, i have Rosacea too. And have had moderate acne since i was about 15, it’s only kept at bay with a doctors prescription of oxytetracycline tablets so my skin is mostly clear, minus fade marks etc (if i wear foundation thankfully they’re not noticeable!). I use instant shine daily too, and i had noticed a difference in my complexion and found it looked brighter and clearer =].

Doxy/ tetracycline delayed release is pretty good stuff as well.

A314 helps clear some people’s skin… It made my friend’s face really healthy clean and shine; he normally has pimples…

I discovered the same thing. A314, TAA (Instant Shine) and Meo-Est all seem to have a similar, positive effect.

Well i’ll definitely be spraying them to my face alot more =D

All I do is spray them to my neck and it clears the redness and acne up for the rest of the day (basically, once I wash it off the next day the ‘normal’ complexion returns.)
