Worried if pheromones might aggravate my acne. (Caused by hormonal imbalance)

Since the pheromones contain hormones, I was wondering if they might make my acne worse? I’ve got mild acne, that I suspect is caused by hormonal inbalance.

Any ideas?

I don’t recall seeing any reports of such an effect.

IMO it might, since acne is caused by excess oil production, which is caused by extra amounts of androgen group hormones like testosterone.

But that’s only if using pheromones AFFECTS your own hormones. I’d also like to know that…

Pheromones do not contain hormones. They are a naturally produced by-product of hormones.

Most of the pheromone products are either in an alcohol solution although some are in an oil-based solution. I would perhaps not spray the alcohol on a particularly inflamed area but other than the effects of the alcohol or iol carrier, I do not think the pheromones themselves would make your acne any worse, especially but upsetting you hormone balance.

Drop a PM to Tisha and ask her to look at the thread. She or several of the other ladies can probably give you some great skin care related advice using these products. My skin care regime is trying to remember to use after-shave …

This is in no way medical advice but I have found that Instant Shine (and Meo-Est) seem to clear my rosacea up. I was shocked considering even prescription medications didn’t work nearly as well.

That’s cool. But that proves that pheromones have an effect on the skin. It might as well give a contrary result.

I have had acne problem for 15 years. The only product that causes mild rashes on my neck (only if used too much - 4 drops or more daily) is A314.

If I spray Instant Honesty (4x) to my hair on head, it causes some rashes on my scalp.

Other than the two above, I did not observe any acne or rashes problem.

I have used these products without any acne or rashes:

  • Turn Up The Heat
  • Spaceland
  • p83
  • Instant Shine
  • Instant Openness
  • Ammo
  • Instant Gentleman
  • p83
  • mx292

Pheromones are NOT even close to hormones. Think of it this way, if these were hormones I would never use them. Taking hormones w/o doctor supervision is a huge mistake.

The key thing that will cause more skin irritation, like acne, is worry itself. Anything can cause a breakout and looking for those things in life, rather than living life, is bad for the Karma and the skin. Just look at all the negative connotations you’ve already associated with mones:

acne , aggravate , caused , hormonal , imbalance , worried

You might want to look at the amazing benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar with the Mother and use it to wash. Amazing stuff!

There’s a few threads in the lounge all about it:

The next thing to consider is there are over 13000 members of the forum and MANY more who actively buy pheromones at least once a month. If it really was so bad I am sure the numbers would be declining and not increasing. Everybody is different though, and if you believe what you believe, your best and only option is apply for an immediate return of products and refund and to stop using them.

I respect your position because you are the one who is going through it. When something like this afflicts us, we all tend to feel that we are alone and that’s an OK position because we are ultimately different. Just remember though that life throws us all challenges and in order to get ahead in life we must take risks and chances. Those who don’t fail.

Steve, I can’t believe your just bashing me when I was asking for friendly advice. The fact that 13k+ people purchase your products doesn’t have anything to do with this. Millions of people purchase and use coke every day as well and still fk up their lives.

I’m far beyond apple cider vinegar. My life is a big regime. I don’t eat dairy, wheat, gluten, high GL and high carbs foods. I mostly eat green stuff. I haven’t drinked or smoked anything for 7 years. I work out often. I live as healthy as one could live. I’m not even going to talk about the supplements and vitamins I take plus the creams etc. I still have mild acne. You have no idea what I’m doing for my skin and how much I spend to clear it.
How about providing some facts? Don’t like your attitude.

Whose bashing you?

You asked for advice and then you come back and say “You have no idea what I’m doing for my skin and how much I spend to clear it.” Hmm not very grateful it would seem.

You’re right that I don’t have any idea with the limited amount of info you shared, and based on that knowledge I offered advice. If you didn’t want help I wouldn’t have wasted my time looking for links.

I think it is possible. When I use heavy doses of 'none my face can get greasy and I think EOW has been shown to cause testosterone spikes.

It’s mutual.

If you didn’t want advice, you came to the wrong place.

Facts? You’ll have to find your own like everybody else. You have been gifted with first few links. And there are even more on your favorite subject. Volumes of data. You are welcome to take as much or as little of it as you like, as facts.

There’s a million resources on the internet, you just have to look. There’s a lot of people in the same boat. My advice would be to wash your face with a cleanser, then a good rough men’s face scrub, and then use apple cider vinegar as a toner at the end.

EDIT: Pheromones haven’t effected my acne whatsoever.
