I don’t use soap very much but haven’t yet tried the vinegar…
Im going to stop using soap now
and test this out, hopefully it works
Hmmm this could make for an interesting experiment. I might give it a try.
Girls have it easier than boys, I think wrt BO risk. (Read the natural girls vs lotion girls thread from a while back). If you drink a lot, smoke and/or have a bad diet it seems the risk is worse.
Tried the vinegar regime today and it seemed to go okay (for the past year I have only used soap very selectively).
I have been using the vinegar method for about 3 days now with no soap. As long as you rinse yourself off very good you do not come out smelling like a pickle so to speak. I use it in my hair instead of shampoo and it has actually made my hair more manageable. I seem to come out just as clean as I would with soap. A word of warning here…you DO NOT want to get vinegar in your eyes…IT REALLY sucks! The same goes for any recent cuts you may have received. I learned the hard way..lol. The vinegar actually seems to remove ALL traces of phero’s from your skin.(I don’t know if it actually dose..however my natural signature seems to have gone right back to its normal state after a shower) I would recommend it to anyone looking for softer skin, manageable hair, and overall skin health. It can be used to clear up athlete’s foot as well by soaking them in vinegar. I will be continuing my investigation to see if vinegar actually removes phero’s by using the same combination every day for a week to see if I get consistent results. I will extend this trial should I decide I have not come to a rational conclusion with just a weeks trial. Hopefully I will have found something that actually removes pheros besides 60 grit sandpaper and alchohol.![]()

Interesting thread. I have used white vineger for many things from washing the hard wood floors to athletes foot for my son. (it works by the way) but never to remove mones. I will try it but I know when my son soaked his feet in it and then washed them with soap after he smelt like a salad for a week no matter how many times he washed them LOL.
Generally I dont have any problem getting mones off with soap and a good suger scrub but its always good to have more options available if needed.

I’m giving this a try even though I hate the smell of vinegar. Mom used to make pickles in the summer when the cukes were ripe and it about killed me, LOL! I’m getting used to it quickly though, and happily report that the scent doesn’t linger (much) on hair or skin for me.
No more itchy skin, and that was starting to happen with colder temps before I started this regimen a few days ago. It helps but doesn’t do that great a job getting hair clean - mine’s straight and fine so oil shows up quickly, but oil production is supposed to slow down if you stop using detergents. My hair has less fullness but also less static, so that’s a wash.
It’s been great at preventing foot and underarm odor, though. Who would’ve guessed?!
If you dont want to be a pickle, Tater has found that an alpha-hydroxy wash + baking soda, scrubbed into the application points neutralizes even androstenone.
But i do like the idea of you guys scrubbing with vinegar. Maybe corn starch should be next on your lists?
You might try polysorbate 80 for your oily hair. As an emulsifier it is pretty effective at cleaning oil.
Okay, great. I have the baking soda - but please say more about that other stuff. What is alpha-hydroxy wash, please?

You can get it in most drug stores or alot of people use this…
Amazon.com: ZIRH - Cleansers / Face: Beauty
Its in alot of the body washes that promote young healthy skin.
If you have a Sephora at your local mall they sell it to.

Has anyone heard of or tried Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps? They are all natural, completely organic soaps, free of detergents and petroleum products. Haven’t tried it personally, but I’ve heard lots of good things, and it might be interesting to see how it stacks up for removing pheromones. Sounds better than vinegar at least.
Dr. Bronner’s are castile soaps, not as harsh on your skin as detergents but still a little more alkaline than is optimal. I’ve used Bronner’s for years off and on.
Thank you Pheroquirk!
I just read the vinegar posts on mASF and I gave it a go tonight.
Dam i feel clean!
I think i might be a convert
Yeah im curious to know if the vinegar removes all trace of pheromone build up.Im also interested to see if it encourages a stronger natural signature.![]()
I generally don’t use much soap and i still smell yummy to my LTR even after days of not showering but with all this talk of pheromone build up (especially none) iv attempted to scrub clean my application points. Its great to find an alternative that is truly effective and inexpensive too.
Any idea that vinegar might eliminate mone build-up is highly speculative… For this purpose I am sticking with dilute ozone, myself (along with occasional nioxin use).
It does seem to help with hair and skin though.
I’ve been using Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother for a LONG time and can say it works wonders on cleaning as well as health, diet, and streak free windows too.
I’ve flapped my gums about ‘phero build-up’ before .. I think it’s mostly a non-issue.
To remove any pheros on clothes, I use an OxyClean type product with my laundry soap … almost always, unless it’s just a load of skivvies and socks.
Rarely – if I want to get to a ‘clean sheet’ state for testing something – I’ll use hydrogen peroxide in the shower. Soap, rinse, rub on H2O2, rinse. It’s about a buck for a quart bottle at the local grocery/drug supermarket.
In the show,
iv got thick wavy hair and its a little unmanageable.Using the vinegar method has done wonders for it even after the first time.Skin is clean and totally without odor as well.Ill probably continue with this method even if phero build up is not an issue
Apple cider vinegar with the mother reminds me of the old kombucha days
a good batch of that stuff was like champaign. The mother doesnt grow does it SteveO?
I like Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar but ill look out for the “with the mother variety”.I once had a book about him he has all kinds of positive health tips.
