using Unscented with our fave cologne!

The question is,

  1. With all the complains about how some people dislike the smell of certain products, isn’t it better to order all our pheros unscented(and layer our fave cologne on top of it)?

  2. Will diffusion be affected if i cover the pheros with my own cologne (coolwater) rather than the suggested neroli scent?

Basically, if i only wanna stick to my fave cologne smell, shd i order all my pheros uncented? Cos I dun wan my gf to say the left side of my neck smells diff from the right, and why my wrist smells diff from my neck etc… And i m concern that in order to mask all the original scent, i will be OD-ing on my coolwater ( i dun wan to be a walking davidoff coolwater model)

Well, I agreed 100%. I prefer to use my own damn cologne for cover and diffusion. However AD’s design philosophy seems to embrace the compete and ready-to-go approach. That is, the product is wholly self contained and ready to apply straight out of the bottle. No batteries or accessories needed. Great for noobs and casual users but a pain for anal and obsessive types like me. I want to be in control and make the decisions about what I smell like. I hate smelling like a fuckin’ hippie or headshop clerk.

Now if you can stand to forgo premade mixes like Ammo or A314, you could buy raw chemset mones or Experimones and roll your own sans neroli or game of whatever the bloody hell. One of my all time favs is to mix Burberry Weekend 5:1 with NPA.

Sure as long as you layer it and dont mix it in the same bottle. That would dilute the mone ratio. You would also want to use a cologne with good coverage ability, diffusion and sillage. Neroli is highly diffusive and has excellant sillage. It also blends with most anything so you can use your own cologne to cover it.

Androtics makes it easy for most new users by doing this for them and we suggest people start out with the origonal scent. Be sure it works for you first so you still have the option of using the guarantee. Once you customize the guarantee is void.

Even Gegogi started this way before becoming a burberry weekend mix master. Its always best to start at the beginning.

Tisha

thanx for all the advise gegogi and tisha. i guess i will try the original scent 1st. Btw, what do u mean by the term sillage? And will the alcohol in our normal cologne dilute the pheromones and cause it to be less effective?

Ps: Nice pic Tisha

sillage is the “wake” left in your path when you walk past a target, more or less.

as for the original question, it’s pretty easy to name commercial scents that are nicer than the cover scents used in most phero products, however, one nice thing imho is that even though the scent of neroli for example is described by some as less than special and others as downright nasty, for me it is clean smelling and most importantly, consistent in that i can get most of these products neroli scented and thereby combine a few different products without a clash of scents.

Thats a good point Josef (regarding the neroli scent)… And will the alcohol in our normal cologne dilute the pheromones and cause it to be less effective?

just dab your cologne next to the phero application if you are concerned. if you cover the pheros with anything it will most likely slow down diffusion, which sometimes isn’t a bad thing except of course with oil based pheros.

actually i think certain colognes will even help the diffusion better over other colognes

I am not 100% certain but I notice sometimes when I wear certain colognes I see better effects now, but then again it is really hard to tell because the women can be just liking the smell over one cologne over the other

for example when I wear body kouros it seems to be much more effective then when I wear Unforgivable

Then again can also have to do with my skin chemistry with one cologne over another. I think there are so many factors that I do not understand it all myself
