Diffusion: does covering unscented pheros with cologne limit it, and what helps?

Hey there.

I like my pheromones unscented. I’m just not a fan of the scents Androtics uses except for the latest A314. I absolutely can’t stand the neroli.

So, I spray the unscented on me and cover with my cologne. From what I have read so far, this limits the diffusion. That is to say, the scent added to the mix increases diffusion. Is this correct? If so, what is it I need to add to my pheros to help diffuse better?

I have used the search, but I guess I’m confused about some of the terms. Can anybody help me with this?

Thanks

As long as you cover with a cologne that has good sillage it will help diffuse the pheros

I don’t like neroli at all myself, and game scent i like but i don’t like to wear everyday myself in fact i am getting tired of it to be honest.

For example I have Raw Power and that is unscented and i get some of my best hits from that and just cover with cologne. It just needs to be covered with a cologne that will last a while and has decent sillage.

To be honest i wish AD would offer all of their products in unscented as a choice especially the advanced since people who are purchasing those should be advanced enough to do know what hey are doing

Ok. Lets see… Sillage is what you leave behind, correct? And diffusion is the ability to go from a high concentration area and spread out? Or do I have that backwards?

Yes, you are correct. Silage is the trail you leave behind that leads back to you. Diffusion is the area where the pheromones cloud around you and the rate at which the molecules leave your body. Silage - when you move. Diffusion - all the time, but more concentrated around you when you are still.

The pheromones and putatives that have a short duration, like TAA, also need to be made a little sticky or heavier. They already diffuse/dissipate way too fast. Some people try to combat that tendency by adding a little Di-propylene glycol or hexylene glycol to make the molecules diffuse slower. I use Artisan’s Alcohol, containing hexylene glycol when I make dilutions. It has no scent, so it won’t interfere with the cover I choose. But I have no idea how this effects the diffusion area or silage, since I don’t have the molecular weights of any of the molecules or their volatility characteristics. And even if I did have that information, I don’t have the chemical equations to figure it out… haha… that’s why we have Androtics to do the major work.

Androtics chose neroli because they can standardize diffusion based on its characteristics. But Neroli gives me gawd awful asthma attacks, and I loathe the smell. Hopefully with Michael Storer now on board, they will be able to come up with more options with more palatable but still with good diffusion and silage characteristics.

Here’s crossing my fingers. :stuck_out_tongue:

Neroli makes me sneeze and I think it gives me headaches (I think, because it’s probably the combo of phero OD and the nero, I do get headaches from other types of perfume or too much of a perfume, as well.) and I cant stand the smell!
I assume another reason why the chose is it is it’s because it’s a fairly common scent used in perfumes, so it can appeal to a lot of people. However, this can work against neroli, since you smell it all the time, it gets old and tired.

I was reading a lil bit about Neroli on my own, and ironically wikipedia says, “As an essential oil, used in aromatherapy and massage, Neroli is considered to have a soothing effect on the nervous system.citation needed] Traditionally, neroli oil was used not only to relieve tension and anxiety, but also in increase circulation and heal thread vein scars.”

Im looking forward to a different scent in the future, hopefully.
