What is your Myers-Briggs type?

What??? how can somebody give you a negative rep for that? It confuses me. I’ve gotten 2 negative rep point (that i’ve found) because of somebody’s personal feelings on a matter. Aren’t rep points supposed to be used for presenting quality information, and negatives reserved for when somebody crosses a social line or presents poor information that negatively effect the users of this forum. Opinions should be left out of the rep system IMO. It’s there to let the users know who is more reliable for quality information, experience, and the validity of posts judged by other forum members. The rep system benifits the new users more than anything else. I know I looked at the rep point when I first started to see whos information to trust more. I was actualy supprised that Mharris didn’t have more points than he does.

I think MHarris used to post a lot more than he does now, and the rep system wasn’t around when the forum started. Given his contributions here, he certainly should have more rep points, and so should Jasmin. Here’s the post introducing the reputation system:

The way it’s defined, it’s all about whether you like a post or not …

I tend to use it the way you describe, though, Toil … I notice when someone makes a thoughtful contribution that benefits the community … or conversely, when they violate the social fabric of the group. I wouldn’t neg someone for presenting incorrect information, though - we’re all learning here. I basically don’t neg anyone unless their post feels like a punch in the gut to me, and even then I don’t always do it.

but hey, to each his own.

INFP-
It’s been several years since I took this last but same old same old - and here I thought I had made all these deep inner changes…

I’m an INFJ too. Hooray.

I found this test on Similarminds.com a while back, and I must say all the tests there are extremely informative, not to mention dead-on accurate :open_mouth: that is, as long as you’re honest when you answer…

Anyone up for an ESTJ? I see most of you are I N’s.

I took the test years ago and it was the same. The BIG difference is, the T is no longer 80% (which made me felt at that time: what did I do, making myself a ROBOT??) Sure, I’ve always been social and, guilty as a chatter box but when it was about emotions, there was that Fort Knox again. Why I thought to myself. Analyze This!

Now the J & S are moderate vs. 70% (no more the Supreme Court Miss Judge! Misjudge?). Ok, I was in IT, competing with the boys (big boys at that), working and breathing in the true/false, black/white and all/nothing world. I bet it had something to do with it.

So I think (heh, the word again)… the test does fluctuate depending on what’s going on around us.

My score changes because of life that comes with a mind of its own. Read: lessons to learn. That’s why the self-exploration on traits that I already have which I should have listened (and nurtured): a good dose of great intuitions. Thus, lowering the S.
So now if I can up the N part then…

  1. Things will be more exciting
  2. I can get that crystal ball and see where I can use that EoW I’ve just ordered, yes?

I’m curious about the Pheros. stuff. It’s a new play for me. Beware people! RUN!!! lol..

N TRAITOR! How could you side with the S’s of all letters, WHHHHYYYY!

Do your worst, but you better not be a double agent!

I don’t run from any S’s I have PRIDE in our clan!

Went a little crazy there. lol

Good luck with the testing.

Sincerely,

Toil, the ENTP Master Sargent 1st Class

Toil! I got BOTH N and the S already… but whenever the N gets fidgety… ummmmfffttt something’s not right here but what is it…, can’t see it, touch, smell, taste and not even hear it (the 5 senses thing), somebody tells me! (and no one did)…

Then the S comes up and says chill! Let’s wait on this, solidify it, get proofs, compare info la di da… then act on that. But by then I got my butt kicked? So again and again I should have listened to myself!!! Who says I sided with the S-es… eh? It’s the (“6th” sense) N I actually want to play the world with!

Well then welcome aboard soldier. Keep you head low and watch your a$#! lol

baha - i am an INTJ - and this pretty much sums me up:

INTJs are known as the “Systems Builders” of the types, perhaps in part because they possess the unusual trait combination of imagination and reliability. Whatever system an INTJ happens to be working on is for them the equivalent of a moral cause to an INFJ; both perfectionism and disregard for authority may come into play, as INTJs can be unsparing of both themselves and the others on the project. Anyone considered to be “slacking,” including superiors, will lose their respect – and will generally be made aware of this; INTJs have also been known to take it upon themselves to implement critical decisions without consulting their supervisors or co-workers. On the other hand, they do tend to be scrupulous and even-handed about recognizing the individual contributions that have gone into a project, and have a gift for seizing opportunities which others might not even notice.

Nice to see a fellow INFP on here . Didn’t know anyone followed this crap.

Hmm

Confused now

Myers Briggs is just a very intricate personality test. Its a much better indicator of ones self in terms of how they are than astrology/horoscopes (I’m believer of those as well but in terms of concrete personal qualities this test pins it down more through logical/methodical questionaries).

Now that I’ve read a bunch of it. No wonder why my career has progressed the way it did, and in the direction that it did.

Interesting stuff

We share something in common steve! I had to take this for a class and also got ENTJ. Natural born leaders… something like only 2% of the world get ENTJ.
