I think if you’re looking into pheromones to help you pickup women in public, you’re going in the right direction, but you may be expecting them to work in a different way than they actually work. I’m new to pheromones too, but I’m learning very quickly about how they actually affect people.

I teach a lot of guys the concepts of these often douchey self-proclaimed “PUA Gurus,” and many of their “methods” are centered around LIES, and fabrications of aspects of your personality that may not only not exist, but that you wouldn’t be comfortable having. Anyone, myself included can memorize a bunch of bullshit to get laid, and yes it works, if you’re looking to have no real connection with anyone.
Despite what the “PUA community” claims, in my experience, and many will agree, being yourself is what is best. Of course, with that said, there really are aspects of yourself that might suck, and need changing in order to be successful with women, and there are certain social rules that generally you really do have to follow if you want to be successful with women, like not seeming a clingy whiny guy (not saying that you are, of course, but I learned the hard way) or the “best friend,” which is accomplished by avoiding certain behaviours, and adopting others.
The important part to understand is that pheros are icing on the cake. You’ve got to have a basic foundation for them to work, and you have to be congruent with the emotions and feelings that they invoke, or else they will not produce the effect you desire.
I disagree. Well… Maybe, just to get an understanding of some different perspectives on pickup. Everyone’s got their own style and goals in mind afterall. Neil Strauss I can tolerate, because he at least is mostly honest, and intelligent. “Mystery” as he’s called is literally an insane manic depressive nut job, who teaches you that you have to become a douchebag to get women. His tactics WORK. They do. On a very limited personality type, and age range of women, but they do indeed work for those types of women. But you may find yourself feeling uncomfortable with the fact that you will literally be making shit up to impress women. That’s what it’s centered around.
