So tonight’s “WTF, Why not?”
I’ve been touting P79 as a focuser by itself. I felt it during softball and weightlifting sessions.
I’m a goalie for a hybrid coed work team of indoor soccer. Very few people on our team have had competitive training in the sport. What I mean by this is, an athlete can smell another athlete. This league, even when listed as intermediate, quickly separates those that played in college, those that played in good high schools, bad high schools and those that just plain stink.
Sorry, jackass moment over.
We just played the last game of the season. I was a 3rd string goalie for a very good highschool, putting me somewhere between good HS and bad. Most of the others on the team haven’t seen a gym in years, don’t know concepts like positioning, coverage or sprinting. Most play with 2 right feet and we’re lucky to get our shot count into the double digits. One more point: the girls we play against mostly have college experience. They’re generally better than our guys.
But as goalie, I can tell you, being on the shit end of that stick, it’s a hell of a workout, and my shortcomings as keeper are hidden by the fact I’m taking about a shot a minute.
We’ve lost every game of the season. Typical scores are 8-1, 7-0, 9-2. It’s not that I’m bad, I just have no defense. Essentially, we’re talking a 20 minute shootout in the 2nd half when everyone gets gassed.
Tonight, I tipped the scales. Granted, we had 2 ringers, but they didn’t play much. 3 sprays of P79 on the neck and it was only 3-0 by halftime. 5-0 was the final score. This team didn’t let up when the score got run up. I felt very focused and in control. My long passing was off, but I was pretty on with stopping what went my way. And I’d say that all 5 goals were well earned and hard to stop for anyone. (one was upper 90 about 15 feet out, another hit the corner and bounced off my back into the net)
There was absolutely NO sexual based hits though, even in the bar afterwards. This ref in particular loves how I play with heart, but he’s well outside olfactory range.
Thanks for listening to tonight’s “wtf, why not”
