For those who don’t know what it is, it’s a major football tournament or soccer tournament as it’s known in USA.
The only time Americans watch soccer is when they have a child playing on the field. It just never caught on here.
I didn’t even know we had a team to send to SA. I’ve never heard the name of a single US player and I don’t know who our coach is. I could not identify our teams uniforms unless they have a US flag showing.
I did see on the Drudge Report that the US beat or tied with the UK, but that’s really all I’ve heard.
I really hope the World Cup stays far away from the US. We have enough problems with traffic jams and unruly sports fans as it is.

Well portugal for the win. Although with the crapy manager we have, our chances are close to zero. even if he had some of the best ever portuguese players available (and guess what, he didnt pick them all for this world cup).

thats exactly how i feel about baseball. how boring is it to watch a guy swing a big stick at a ball then run around white squares on the ground! the clincher? if you’re good enough at running around those sqaures and throwing balls around, you’ll be rewarded with a multimillion dollar salaries. makes no fucking sense.
